- Feels that we're good enough (when healthy) to play with anybody, as the 55 wins showed. - Thinks Rafer is underrated on the defensive side of things. - Thinks Aaron's biggest hurdle is going to be experience playing defense, because he's not going to get any taller. Thinks he's at a great advantage on the offensive side of the ball because of his unmatched speed, and that his shooting will come around once he gets settled into the league. - Unsure about Dikembe's return. Icing on the cake if he can, but we'll know in two weeks or so. - Too small when we went to the bench this season, and the lack of capable substitutes probably attributed significantly to the injuries. - Said it's a must to get another (maybe two) SG/SF type with size to back up McGrady and Battier. He specifically said "experienced" and "flexible" (in terms of playing both positions). Sounds like a guy like Mike Miller (experienced, SG/SF, with size) might be a perfect target.
mike miller would be a dream and i was livid that memphis refused to deal him as an attempt to make up for getting suckered in the gasol deal. if we get him (and you know, the guys stay healthy and stuff) then this team becomes incredibly dangerous. also adelman did more than say rafer was underrated, he said he was one of the best defensive point guards in the league. very high praise.
morey mentions rockets needing to acquire a player who can help the rockets by attacking the basket and adelman says a bigger 2/3 behind t-mac & battier who plays on both ends. if rafer and shane are kept. who fits that description via trade?
Maggette VC RJefferson Can you imagine having either McGrady or Vince Carter or both on the floor for every minute of a game?
