Couldn't find a link for some reason, but heard it on 610 this morning. We'll miss him depth-wise, but I'll trade Dayne for Green any day. I guess the RB depth chart is now Green-Taylor-Lundy.....unless AP falls to us, that is....
Green will get injured. Our running game will suffer. Carr's friends will tell us that Carr still hasn't had a running game good enough to allow him to throw for more than -5 yards. 6 more years of Carr.
It's not the Carr's fault he's stuck in traffic! Hold on to that Enron stock...when it goes up again you're going to look mighty silly.
Kinda sad to see him go. He looked like he "got it" towards the end of the season -- the most enjoyable part of watching the Texans offense was seeing him move the pile forward like a man. He's ridiculously strong. But obviously Ahman Green is much better, and who knows, maybe Chris Taylor could turn out to become a nice speedy stud to complement him in the backfield. To those hoping Peterson will fall to us, forget it. The only way in hell we get Peterson is if we trade up.
Either he "got it" or he realized that he was in the last year of his contract. My guess is the latter.
I guess this DOES mean we're getting another QUALITY RB via draft, free agency,or trade. I thought Dayne ran well, especially considering the state of the line. Instead of the usual 3rd -5th round sleeper that fits Denver South might we actually be moving up to take the FRANCHISE RB....AP baby?!?!
Dayne said that his first choice was Philly, Second was Tenn and 3rd is anywhere but Houston with Carr as QB
Hmmm, thanks for that link. 610 was saying it was a done deal this morning. Sorry for the thread title.
