24th. Seattle (Also hold 4th pick) 25th. Houston 26th. San Antonio http://www.draftexpress.com/article/2008-Reebok-Eurocamp-in-Treviso,-Days-Three-and-Four-2921/ Spurs have an All Star PG in Parker but they've never found a decent backup. If the go with Udoka to replace Bowen... Bruce Bowen + Jacque Vaughn + 26th pick for Earl Watson + 24th pick? Seattle are probably looking for ways to lessen salary while they wait for their move to go ahead. The above scenario saves them around $3.6M.
With the exception of the Scola fiasco the Spurs have always had supurb scouting and a knack for finding talent in the late rounds. I think we're at the point where if the Spurs are expressing interest there's a good chance whoever they're eyeing up is a keeper.
Sam Presti is a mole just Chris Wallace was for the Lakers. You remember how the Spurs were saying they wanted to establish a farm system with that crappy team down in Brownsville coached by Quin Snyder? Well it was all a LIE, their actual farm system is SEATTLE. Watch Presti screw us badly by trading his 24th pick for SA's 26th pick and Brent Barry, then release him so he can go back and....aww s*** that already happened.
I believe that you are right. We were lucky to get the 31st pick from them last year but I'm sure that they will help the Spurs out if it makes sense for them this year.
For the record, the Spurs own the AUSTIN Toros, and they are coached by Quinn Snyder, and they lost in the championship round in the NBDL this year. The team that is CRAPPY in the valley is the Rockets minor league team. DD
i do not understand the deal, why would spurs trade up 2 spots with bowen? Bowen is old and declining, but he still is much better in what he is good at then 90% of the league. Defense. And no matter how much need is at the PG spot, Bowen >>>>> Watson.
it's a joint workout. doesn't mean the spurs are looking to move up. the rockets were at the giant t'wolves workout, and they came to houston for the rockets giant workout. doesn't mean we are looking to swap picks. also... ibaka wold be a great pick for us if he's there.
