They have the best GM --Daryl Morey, Sam Presti, Kevin Pritchard all took their methods in some form or way from RC Buford, their mentor. --They have an awesome eye for drafting players --All their trades always seem to work out They have the best coach --consistently one of the best defenses in the league with arguably the least athletic players The most humble players --Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Ginobili ... how they conduct themselves on and off the court with humble and quiet attitudes... far different than most other stars who make all these types of drama with their team/ teammates. I think they are gonna be great forever... maybe once a decade they'll have a lottery year and the rest of the decade they'll contend for championships. that's how they good they are. i don't care if Duncan gets old and retires, i have LITTLE doubt they'll find a replace somehow someway, if it takes one year to be bad, they'll be great again after. Just an appreciation thread for the Spurs. Come on, how could anybody dislike them? Would you rather had the Lakers win all the championships they've had this decade? Spurs = Team basketball. Gotta love it.

Anyone who is rooting for the Spurs to break our record of being the lowest seed to win a NBA championship is not a true Rockets fan.
The good fortune of having superstar/hall of fame post players for the past 22 years might have something to do with it as well.
Haha I love the Rockets... I'm just appreciating this good team and how other teams should model themselves after this team. I'm Rockets first of course.
It's true. They already have replacements too, in a way. George Hill = Parker Lite. DeJuan Blair = Duncan Lite. Now they need a Bowen Lite and a Ginobili Lite, and bam, another championship perhaps?
