link so lame. try protesting about something legitimate like the clock not starting for 5 freaking seconds like the rox/jazz game 10 years ago.
It was a legitimate shot. But even if it wasn't, the Spurs f-cking robbed us of the last regular season game in 93 with Robinson's tip that was several seconds after the buzzer-- which cost us homecourt vs. the sonics in a series in which the home team won every game including game 7 in OT, where a total BS 5th and 6th foul on Hakeem killed us.
ehhh...a mental wound was just re-opened....at least this situation wil never occur in the league anymore.
pointless, lakers will just point out that the clock was stopped too late after duncan made his shot.
Damn, I remember watching that damn Spurs/Rockets game. GOD I was so pissed. He grabbed the ball with like .1 seconds left on the way down, then put it up again, and it freaking counted!
good call thats what i was going to say... they should have had more than .4 on the clock anyway i was personally hoping that both teams would both lose but now those whiny biaytches from San Antone have taking my hatred to a new level........ Go Lakers....plus the pain for Malone and Gary will be worse the closer they get
The Spurs have some gall, filing a protest about clock management. If this gets reversed, I think the Rockets should file a protest with the NBA regarding David Robinson's shot back in 1993, and insist that that the entire playoff bracket be re-played with the Rockets having homecourt advantage [/sarcasm]. Seriously, Spurs: you had a lucky shot, they had a luckier shot. Take it like men and move on. Please don't reinforce the reputation you already have of being the whiniest team in the NBA.
I hate the Lakers with a passion but they won it fair and square. They dominated the majority of the game. Hopefully the Spurs can win game 6 and bring it back to SA for 7. I really hope the Fakers don't win this series and if they do hope they don't wint the championship.
The Lakers won the game, case closed. The Spurs are falling apart. Up 2-0, and now down 3-2. Tim Duncan is shooting 38% in the last 3 games, averaging 16 pts/game and 5 TO/game. He stepped up big last year for them against the Lakers, and this year, he is stepping back. I don't want to hear about double teams. If you are the best player in the league, beat the double team. Thats what great players do. He has to want to take over the game, and I don't think he wants to.
Where is the B*TCHING ABOUT TONY PARKER 7-23???? 6ast with 3 tos??? Francis BROUGHT IT everygame of OUR SERIES Rocket RIver [not meant for you . . but the Tony Parker Lovers]
Well i was thinking the same thing until last night, where he hit 3 huge baskets with only minutes left to play. Sucks for him that his great falling runner will forever be forgotten because of Fisher.
Yeah, everybody was moist over Tony Parker after 2 games, but no one brings up his subpar play over the last 3. I agree, Tim Duncan did step up in the 4th qtr of game 5. You can't deny that. My problem with him is, he disappears for long stretches of games. Its official: protest denied. http://www.nba.com/playoffs2004/spurs_040514.html
The Spurs should just shut up and be ready to play in L.A. on Saturday. They played a poor game and were lucky to even get back in. Fisher made a good play to beat them. Take it like a man. Darn it.
