Whether you want to label it as "scared" or not judging from that thread, it's up to you. :)

One thing for sure, the MAJORITYof us have a big RESPECT toward Yao, 'cause we KNOW the value of a GOOD bigman -the way you guys also know with Hakeem in the past

And the fact that Francis is an overrated combo guard who can lead his team nowhere but lottery each year -while running around with mouth full of ****, that is already NOTED also. :p

And rockets fans know that outside Duncan, the spurs are littered with scrubs that wouldn't be able to do jack **** by themselves

What a STUPID statement that was..Show the Spurs some respect....they don't have scrubs....i would love to have parker, manu, rose, hedo on our roster....they are so damn deep with very good players..and the best player in the league....

Spurs fans aren't scared..they are just showing respect to Yao..and they know he could dominate this league...THATS ALL

Yeah, I think most fans at least respect the Spurs. TD and DR are/were class acts, just like Hakeem. Unlike that two-bit punk Shaq. Yao is making his way towards the TD, DR, and Hakeem ranks really really fast. Good luck to ya, Spurs (except when you play the Rockets, of course).

I don't need to show the spurs ****. Go jump on the spurs bandwagon if you love them and their players so much.

Those overrated scrubs would be lucky to have the same success w/o Duncan that we had w/o Yao.

Without Duncan last season, we would be in the lottery, no question. :)

But, without Yao from 2000-2002, where had Francis & Mobley -your BBall GODS- took your team in this league ? Championships ? :D

So much for the SUCCESS you've described, right ? :p

Like you do? Spurs won because they had the best player in the league. The rest are interchangeable spare parts that can be replaced pretty easily because of Duncan's greatness. Them not holding back Duncan does not make them great.

Their success was their winning even with a severe lack in talent on the team, esp in the frontcourt. Would they have brought us championships? Probly not, but they most likely would have lead us into the playoffs soon even w/o Yao.

The spers w/o Duncan wouldn't be much better than the nuggs from last year.

I'm a Rockets fan first, but was born in SA, and like to see the Spurs do well.

While its true the Rockets might not go to the playoffs without Yao, they have had a 45 win season with Francis, Mobley, and Taylor as the main guys. I don't see the Spurs from last year (don't know enough about this years mix to comment.) would have had that many wins without Duncan.

    My opinion

Spurs one hall of famer, four to five really good players and a load of decent back-ups.

Rockets two All star players, one Really good player, a couple of decent players and a bunch of scrubs.

It may seem obvious to you and me, but some people can't grasp this.

What I take exception to is a freaking spers fan calling out francis and by implication the rest of the team other than yao when duncan's supporting cast is as overrated as it comes.

And people are actually sticking up for the guy and the ****ing spers. Whatever.

    Stephen Jackson never talked ****.
    Tony Parker isn't overrated.
Malik Rose never talks trash, either.

    Sincerely,
    Kris Kringle.
