Seems like if he just wants a Texas team, it seems like the Spurs would be the most logical choice if they were offering, especially since their bringing in Kidd in a year with Tim moving to the 5... sounds like Lewis would be a great fit at 2 or 3

It would be interesting conversation, but the Spurs already used at least half of their MCE to resign Bowen, so there's not much room for Lewis.

I'm sure they'd be interested in a sign and trade, but since the Sonics can offer about 50 million more than anyone else, I doubt they would consent to one.

Hot rumor has Lamond Murray going to San Antonio for Antonio Daniels....Lewis would be a good addition for the future, but would end any hope of getting another max free agent next year, IMO - especially if they traded for Murray.

There's several versions of that rumor. The accurate one, as far as I know, is that Cleveland wants to give Murray, but the Spurs want no part of his contract or other issues. The more likely trade is Daniels for Chris Mihm and a cap filler. Mihm obviously lacks Robinson's quickness, but he's not a complete stiff. With his jumper and footwork, he's the type of player that might could really learn from playing under Robinson a year.

If the Spurs made a trade for Mihm or another starting caliber big man, it would be a signal that their target for next offseason is likely Kidd, Marion, or someone like that instead of a big man like Brand or Jermaine O'Neal.

Whether it's to Cleveland or somewhere else, the chances are looking pretty good that Daniels will be traded at some point in the next few days.
