Every CDMA Windows phone has been a major disappointment. Touch Pro 2, Touch Pro, etc all failures when compared to the capabilities of their counterparts with android, webos and iOS.
No, Sprint 4g is a fail. Rumor is the reason the Echo and this device doesn't have 4g is because Sprint is on the edge of dumping Wi-max for LTE. Which will prove to be smart because 4G on a 2.5 ghz spectrum is horrible for indoor coverage. Very spotty.
None of the WP7 devices have 4g, so it's right in line with what they've been doing. It's disappointing that they're going to be behind on the hardware front. Dual-core phones will be standard by early summer, and we might see a few quad-core devices pop up by end of this year. I really want to get a WP7 device but not with last year's hardware.
