this guy is like 38 and hasn't played in a year. i would rather spend the MLE on just about any other free agent still on the market.

you could make a case that the rockets could sign him for the vet min, but even then he could be a team cancer...and that's if he swallows his pride and accepts the vet min. personally i think he'd rather retire than be signed for the min.

Just curious..How old is Spree, can he still play, and what does his contract look like or could look like. Because at this point I'll even take Chuck Nevit, JBC,Wiggins, Loyd,I don't care anymore. Hey Didn't Spree choke his coach once..aha...JVG...Seriously Spree could play the yr before he left...Why Not sign him up ?

No f-in way this guy is like 37 or 38 years old and hasn't played in a whole year and he probably still wants the MLE.

Spree can't live off the MLE, he's gotta be able to feed his family!

If Spree wanted to come to training camp, no contract, and wanted to show his stuff, that would be fine. I would give him a chance. High basketball IQ, a lot of heart. Nice size. I would not sign him to a contract without a long tryout.

So after getting dumped by Queen James, you move on to Spree?

It's like those nice girls that keep dating jerks all the time.

If hes in decent shape and ready to accept the minimum, sure why not

We can certaintly use him, even if his ass doesnt get more than 5 mins a game.

I'd rather not, I would be surprised if Spree ever suits up again in the NBA

I think the best idea is to forget about the likes of spreewell, marcus banks, *insert random scrub* and tank the season. Next years draft is gonna be really deep and we can afford to tank for an "inknown" commodity. Even if we try next season to make a push a quick 1st rd playoff exit is the best i can forsee this team doing
