Taylor, huh? Mind elightening me what remaining $12M worth of contracts you're shipping back to NY?

Yup, Mo & Rice...bet they're like kids at Christmas waiting for draft day.

If we get #1, I have a feeling we're getting either Odom or Rashard. I really don't think we'll pick anything more than a (for now) useless project or a decent backup, and somewhere late.

I can see NY doing whatever it takes to get Ming, but I don't like Spree, and both are on their downsides of the careers anyway.

I would hope Rox either draft Ming if they see enough low post presence, or trade down for Woods (collecting a draft pick or dumping salary in the process). It is encouraging to hear one of the Rox' brass impressed by Woods' "sick athleticism" - we need more of that for defense & rebounding (as well as SF scoring).

Sane, I hope you're not right about Rashard or Odom, but I'm afraid you may be. We'd be marginally better, but I suspect we'll overpay and lock ourselves into an average team talent level for years to come. Woods is a better gamble.

You are correct there about Lewis. He's demanding 14.5M a year. For a player who can hit 3's and jumpers. That's it, that's the whole lot. No D, no post game, no handles, no passing, court vision. None.

Odom on the other hand, I regard highly. He's having some bad luck with injuries at the moment, so I'm confident he's going to come back with a roar. Also, I think he can be had for much less than Kobe Lewis  . At the same price I'd ratehr have Odom. Even for an extra million, I'd rather have Odom. But none for 14.5M.

Odom gives this team what it needs. Ball movement, leadership, court vision, rebounding, some D, and a very decent offensive game.

Woods is a couple of years away from being as good as projected, having played against weaker competition, and having to work on his body (knee problem). That's not the direction we're going in, fortunately, and we're looking for some experience.

I think it would be a good idea to trade Cato, #1, and #15 for Odom and Kandi. We would easily see 50 wins with that team.

    Kandi
    Griff
    Odom
    Mobley
    Francis

That's an incredible teams for YEARS. Oldest player here? Mobley and Kandi will be turning 27. That's incredible. Average age must be around 24.

    Is this much better:

    Cato
    Griff
    Woods
    Mobley
    Francis

I don't think so. Too many shoot-first players, no post game, and no ball movement.

I wouldn't mind have spree cause we need someone who plays both ends of the floor, but Camby NY can keep. He's a walking injury waiting to happen we have enough of those.

Where did you read this? I missed it. That's disappointing because the Rockets' front office is notorious for building up decoys to divert attention from the player(s) they really want.

And does the Knicks trainer get shipped with him too...you know, we would want Marcus to be as comfy as possible, might as well make sure he has a trainer with him he's used to.

What about Eddie? I seem to remember Rudy gushing on at least one occasion before the draft on how good Eddie was.
