Link Spree was a no-show for the T-Wolve's media day and now I guess Kobe called in sick for the Laker's 1st day at training camp and will probably miss media day as well tomorrow(acccording to LG.net). Damn, this is no way to start out the season for the T-wolves or the Lakers.
All sarcasm aside, I think the best way for him to deal with the situation is to man up and face the media, answer a few questions(if he can) and then go about his business. I think hiding from them is just going to make things worse for his already damaged rep.
I can see why Kobe may want to lay low -- he would be a distraction on media day but the Spree thing is bad. Why wouldn't he want to make a good impression on his new city? One of three things must be true 1) Something serious happen 2) Spree is arrogant 3) Spree is stupid
Agreed. That said, there isnt much doubt in my mind that his legal advisors are pulling his strings right now.
Players skip media day all the time. It's boring and you answer the same questions over and over. I wouldn't read anything into it.
Kobe did not even show up for the first day of practice nor did he fly with the team.....jackson is not pleased Trouble in laker land already? No worries they have payton, malone and shaq.....
