    - Had a lot of conversations yesterday with other teams, always looks to aggresively try to improve the team.

    - Teams will just not take bad contracts anymore like they used to (ie: Mavs, Blazers, Knicks) which makes it hard for a lot of deals to get done league wide.

    - Clearly they like Mike James but, and this goes with any players, contract length/amount per performance/age is always something they are looking out for.

    - Asked if they have enough to win a championship and said flat, "Yes."

    - Suns, Mavs and Surs have set the bar very high. You can feel real good about your team but could still end up starting the playoffs on the road.

    - Doesn't feel like flopping has any place in basketball. Feels flops are somewhat obvious and can be dangerous. League is looking into it.

    - One reason why other GMs like dealing with CD is because any phone calls made about trades, etc stays between them and the other team.

    - Asked if Sura's contract had interest from other teams and said yes, but also interest for anybody with short contracts.

    - Said they had above average amount of calls than usual on a number of different players.

    Thanks for the recap. That's good about the flops. What will Ginobli, Dirk, and all the other little floppers do if they crack down on it? :eek: I'm not worried about it affecting the Rockets because Shane and Chuck take way more legit charges than they ever flop.

    That's true. When was the last time that the Rockets did a deal that anybody saw coming. Kirk Snyder, Mike James, David Wesley. None of those deals were even hinted until they finally went down. In fact I remember when we traded for Mike James, the rumors had it totally wrong and thought we were making a play at Michael Redd.

    This is for all the fans that rely on just stats to analyze the game. Pay attention to that quote all you stat freaks. If the man with all the numbers and formulas say we can win the 'ship, become believers now!

    The McGrady deal had a lot of talk about it before it went down. There were even doctored pics of him in our jersey. Other than that though the deals do seem to stay in the dark until complete.

    The leak there, I think, come from Orlando. The Magic GM (Weisbrod) was trying to shop McGrady to everyone, and probably leaked the info to see if anyone would beat that offer. CD had nothing to gain by leaking the info.
