Talks are more serious because of this fact as well. Will talk to a few GMs tonight when they get in. They have a GM meeting at 2:00 tomorrow at the Hilton. - Said the rumored Francis deals are hot and heavy. - Some teams trying to make some big moves but just haven't been able to just work it out. - Took weeks to get both the Bogans & Lampe deals done. - They really like the way the rotation is coming together and is carefully optomistic about them getting on a roll. The way this season has gone, he is hesitant to feel real confident that they have turned it around. - Thinks Bogans will be a big help. - Scouts saw Lampe play in Las Vegas in the summer and liked what they saw. Has an outside shot like Okur, and runs and is more athletic than guys his size. Doesn't have a post-up game yet since Euto-players are more used to playing pick-n-roll, pick-n-pop offenses overseas. Thats all I can remember, lol.

Sometimes I wonder that, how do GMs initiate these conversations? Do they feel bad about it? Is it like when kids trade basketball cards? Also, do they have their own forum somewhere? That would be a very interesting forum.

i never knew there was a GM meeting at all star break. sounds like a lot of deals will be made or at least talked about.
Some years there are several deals, and some years there aren't but a couple. CD is talking about it more than I can remember, though, which means nothing, no doubt.
Maybe by the "it took weeks to get the Bogans and Lampe deals done" is more like, We went through weeks of B.S. trying to get real deals done so we settled on minor deals.
