Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I was listening to John and Lance this morning and they started talking about Syracuse coach, Boehiem's (sp?), remarks from last night and how the local paper was dogging McNamara. Lance then went off about how everyone should watch our team's and their players' backs. He then mentioned "like that stupid Clutchfans website spreading the rumored story about TMac." and "lock the thread you idiots!" A couple of minutes later he mentioned how the website was locked from their computers now. I didn't read the aforementioned thread as a whole, but from what I read, I didn't see it trying to spread rumors and, as soon as Clutch verified it was wrong, it was locked immediately.
Blocked his IP...beautiful....his source of information just dried right up. To quote Guiness beer. BRILLIANT !! DD
I heard this today as well. Lance didn't say Clutchfans was stupid. But he did criticize the BBS for keeping the T-Mac rumor thread alive as long as it was.
Eh. I don't care what they say, especially that guy. Once I posted that radio guys like Lance are just shills for whoever happens to paying them, and like a month later, he zapped me with a crybaby email. He's an entertaining guy, no doubt, but you can't take him seriously, just like you have to take Jim Rome or Rush Limbaugh with a grain of salt. They don't have the same standards as true journalists. When you really think about it, this site does undercut shows like his somewhat. Sometimes I think that most of their callers are guys who can't type. I mean, why would you hold for a hour just to get 30 seconds with them when you can instantly post here? I think they, along with all old media types, look at the internet as a threat.

Here's what's on the morning show - The announcers talking about almost everything BUT sports. A freaking commercial every :17 seconds with a TERRIBLE Granado segueway. (I've never heard more commercials in my life. If the program director would load his commercials at the top of the hour when everyone's arriving at work, it would show more common sense!) Terrible copywriters. 'With Dish, (which neither Lance or John use otherwise thay wouldn't have NFL Network) you can TIVO your shows" Wow. Wish I could do that with my free, HDTV DVR that I rent for $7 instead of paying $400. Years of negative residue from the Trailer, Wheel and Frame commercials that Granado thinks are still funny. 15 callers on hold waiting to get in while John and Lance talk about something that is as irrelevant as whether that new rock by Pluto should be called a planet. Lance talking about what fans should do. (here's a thought 610 - talk about Sports. There...now we told you what to do!) Granado SCREAMING into the microphone "OK GUYS...uhhhhhhpreciate it!!" One other note - NO, NADA, ZERO listeners care what your salesstaff thinks about UFC or gambling so keep them in their cubicles and tell them that when the red light is on, it means the hosts are on air and NOT to enter and start laughing in the background as they're getting the donuts and colaches that are inside the studeio door. (On a side note - the RED light means you're on the air ...COUGH INTO YOUR FREAKING SHIRT! Here's what we do - Start a drinking game where you MUST drink every time Lance COUGHS into that freaking microphone. If the cough is really loud, you drink twice. Get up at 8 and you're drunk by 9...even with the commercials. And, if Granado starts one of his 'I'm arguing JUST to argue' arguments, inject the heroin into the arm and then release the knot.....and exhale. However, know that when you CRASH down from your high....610 will be airing a commercial. Other than that, I like 'em!
It's funny to hear John & Lance become the BIGGEST Yao fans all of a sudden when they criticized him as much as anyone. Now they come out and say, I wanna hear from all the "Yao haters"...well...listen to yourselves, you were 2 of them!
Lance's voices make me want to drive my car into oncoming traffic. C'mon 790, get a local morning show!!!!
^^agreed but IMO Vandermeer is much worse. 610's programming is horrendous. I basically hate every show, but 790 has a lot of good programming. I enjoy Colin, Dan, and Charlie. And I too wish they would get a local show going in the morning.
It's not his voice that bothers me...it's his constant clearing his throat and coughing right into the microphone that I can't stand. Can't he at least turn his friggin' head?
It's that right around the time you got married?? See all the bad things marriage brings... Back on topic.. I dont even bother with 610.. Jon Barry could do a better job by himself then both these clowns..
