Seriously ever since this show came on I want to punch both of those hosts in the face. Besides the fact that the girl is fairly attractive the show flat out blows. Everything they discuss is/has been talked about on PTI/Around the Horn/SportsCenter. I guess they try to get the watchers involved more but there call in segments and fake player crap is so dumb. They try to hard and just fail. Does anyone else despise this show ?
This shouldn't be in the D&D. And not because it isn't about politics or religion. But because everyone should agree this show blows donkey schlongs.
Example: Trying to even have a debate that Duke/Butler was the greatest game ever.... Are you kidding me. I can think back to Kansas and Memphis. That was only a couple years back and it was better.
I can't stand Cowherd. I actually hate him more than I hate bill simmons. The only reaon I can watch is Beadle. She's a keeper. Best part of the show. First take has to be the worst though, skip bayless and that fat hog dana jacobsen on the sme show? Do. Not. Want.
Cowherd is good on the radio, but he sucks on SportsNation because he has to tone his schitck down for TV.
I was going to post something similar, but PTI is hilarious, especially when they have Dan "my surname is French for 'the b*stard'" LeBatard. BAM!
Fully agree. Beadle alone keeps this show above a third of ESPN original programming. Cowherd does suck.
The show is horrible and unwatchable. The hosts are fine. And the idea of having a show based on their Sports Nation online product is fine too. But the execution of the show is 100% terrible. Just too gimmicky. It is an embarrassment! I like Cowherd. He is much better on his radio show.
I would say any show with Skip Bayless so 1st and 10, Stephen A. Smith, Sportscenter with Stewart Scott, Mark May with College Football Live don't mind his knowledge just his biased. Outside the Lines with Bob Ley is very boring to watch.
The problem with the show is it's the most topical out of all the ESPN shows, offering zero insight or analysis. It's a condensed, spiced up version of Sportscenter for the internet generation. Rehashing the day's news items is negligible because that's what all the ESPN shows do, you're simply watching for this specific analyst's take on it. But these hosts aren't analysts, they're just giving the average joe opinion on the matter. I like the girl but the guy is like a mass-market Skip Bayless. Cowherd Quote: "Kevin Durant is overrated"
I like ATH and PTI mainly for the people that are on them. Michael Wilbon and Tony Cornheiser are both respectable journalists but have a very comical side to how they analyze and depict sports. And I just love listening to Woody Paige and Tim Cowlishaw on around the horn. Both shows at least change it up on a daily basis and seem always fresh.
