This part one of two re: watching sporting events. I've been a season ticket holder for the Houston Texans since their inaugural season. There's nothing more fun then showing up at the gates 4 hours before kickoff, throwing some meat on the grill, downing some brews with your friends, and ogling at all the fine ladies out there. The gameday experience for any sporting event is amazing. The thrill of the game, the roar of the crowd, and camaraderie of your neighbors -- it gives me goosebumps. However, from a pure love of the game itself, I appreciate it more when watching on television. Especially with a DVR. I can review the plays I want, when I want. I can go back and see who missed their assignment resulting in a direct path to the QB. I can see what kind of routes the WR ran to lose his man. You get the idea. I'd like to see what the consensus here at cf.net is. Do you appreciate the game more live? Or watching it on the television?
I hate going to games live. I like the comfort of my home entertainment center, my couch, and most importantly my laptop so that I can look up information about teams, players, coaches, etc. during a game.
I think the playoff games are more fun at the game because of the electricity, but every other game is better watched on television. So I vote for TV.
Depends on where you are sitting. Home is better if you have cheap seats. Live is better if you have expensive seats. Home is better than paying for expensive seats. I vote home.
