Who do you guys follow on Twitter when it comes to sports in Texas? I'm trying to compile a list of the best sports Twitterers in the state.

    Just clutch.

And I'll sometimes check the cat
...when I'm following his football cf posts.

This guy's OK , but he seems to ramble on about pretty much everything.

That's quite an achievement, to ramble in 140 characters or less.

Appreciate the shoutout. ;), bnb. Besides those related to CF (which are obvious, and Clutch owns Rockets coverage on Twitter), Zierlein is probably the best in the media, in the sense that his tweets are largely news or analysis, as opposed to just trying to be funny or drawing people to another site. Other good ones, imo, include Matt Jackson (610), Richard Justice, Kirk Bohls (AAS) and Chip Brown (if you're interested in UT or Big 12 sports). Billy Liucci also does excellent work on the Aggies.

From the organizations themselves... Alyson Footer obviously does a fantastic job in her new role with the Astros. Eric Winston with the Texans is also terrific... yes, lots of athletes tweet, but Eric is one of the only ones that offers actual analysis, as opposed to "workin' hard!" cliches.

These are just a few off the top of my head - hope this helps. Obviously, most of these are concentrated in the Houston/Austin areas... I don't have that much interest in Dallas or San Antonio sports, so hopefully others can help there.

@LanceZeirlein always has excellent, on-point football analysis.

And whatever you do, don't follow John McClain. Unless you like being bombarded by random streams of consciousness that are 8-10 tweets long at a time.
