I'll do my best to recap Dennis Lindsey's interview:

About the trade.... Bogans flew into Houston, got here at 4:00 and is being throughouly checked out by Keith Jones and the training staff. Communicated a lot with Charlotte beforehand about his injury. Was a MCL strain (I think) and was originally expected to mis 2-4 weeks. Was cleared to play last weekend by their training staff. He expects to either by ready to play right away or VERY soon.

Brings a bigger option at the 2. Brings a physical presence at the position. Strong legs and well help spell Wesley as well as help against bigger guards and SFs.

Was well coached in college and pros. Was Hayes' roommate in college.

JVG is always pulled towards guys with a natural physicallity.

Asked about Barry & DA... Wouldn't really comment on DA. Repeated what we already knew about the DA/JVG talk today but hadn't heard from JVG yet to find out what happened. Said JVG should comment about him.

Said Barry has been ready but sometimes, the way the team is playing, dictates who comes off the IR. They like the rotation they have lately and didn't want to risk losing some of the cohesiveness that seems to be happening lately.

Asked about Spanoulis... Playing European playoffs and scored 13 pts., 6 assists in their last game, but also had 5 to's. That is his one negative that they have talked to him about. Said he has done better this season with the TO's this season than last, but they still would like him to get better.

Said he compares to a Bobby Jackson type player, coming off the bench as an instant scorer, good pick 'n' roll player. He is 6'3 • 190.

He then just talked about how many people actually work with them on scouting around the world.

That's all I can remember off-hand. Hope that helps and I didn't forget anything important.

Nope. Just some random caller who heard that from DA's manager.

Pretty sure it's just speculation, but it's a possibility at this point.

DA is a waste if that's true. We could've used that LLE on Spanoulis or someone this summer.

I was listening to sports 610 CD in the car and CD was on the sports update and when asked about DA and Barry not being put on the active roster he said that some guys have established themselves at their positions while they were out and they don't want to mess with a good thing.

CD didn't sound like he believed what he was saying and from the way he made it sound I wouldn't expect Barry or DA back anytime soon. I find that odd because when CD was on the last insider show for the Rockets he mentioned how DA and Barry were key guys who were out and how much the team missed them so I don't know what's going on now.

Dennis Lindsay did say that JVG was going to talk with DA today about a "couple of things". I assume that one of those things was his health, maybe the other thing was about being bought out...?

Dang, that doesn't sound good. They don't want to mess with a GOOD THING? What good thing? Ryan Bowen? We need some offense. Those two guys are supposed to give us some offense.

If CD said they weren't 100% healthy, I could take it. But "don't want to mess with a good thing?"

    Yea, it's a little weird.

I hear Lindsey & CD talk about getting help for Wesley so he doesn't have to pull the whole load at the position, but I'm thinking "Isn't Anderson and/or Barry help?"

There is either something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about, or they have something else in the works to trade away a guard or two. I mean, what's up with this "secret" meeting between JVG and DA that no one will comment about?

Why, when we need a little help shooting 3's, don't they find a way to get Barry back on the court?

    Just too weird.

    Ya, like Bowen.

I wonder what the deal with DA is. We really could use him.

Ok so lets count the players:
    Yao/Deke
    Howard/Swift/Hayes
    Tmac/Bowen/Barry
    Wesley/Bogans/Anderson
    Alston/Head/Mooch/Sura

I dont know how many players you can put on IR but of this list I would for sure put Bowen, Mooch n Sura on IR. Anderson was rusty with his shots but he was becoming decent and could have helped us. Barry just brings instant energy that we need. So this is what JVG should rotate:

    Yao/Swift/Deke
    Howard/Hayes
    Tmac/Barry
    Bogans/Head/Anderson
    Alston/Wesley

Why would JVG use Bowen and Mooch and not Barry n Anderson if they are healthy??? How is this messing up their chemisty??

The $50,000 sport utility vehicle that belongs to Kentucky guard Rajon Rondo is registered to NBA player Derek Anderson, a former Wildcats standout. But what appears to be an NCAA rules violation has been approved by the SEC and NCAA because Anderson began mentoring Rondo when Rondo was in seventh grade. NCAA officials determined the longevity of the pair’s relationship made Anderson’s gift, a 2006 Chevrolet Yukon Denali, an acceptable transaction.

Only bit of news on DA I could find. I'm guessing they're shopping Barry and DA hard.

    This is from todays chronicle...

"At that position we've been suffering quite a bit," Dawson said. "The load has been strictly on David Wesley and he's done a commendable job, but we've got to get him some help."

Anderson and Barry have pronounced themselves fit for play, but neither has been activated. Bogans' addition could create a backcourt logjam should either or both return, but Dawson said the Rockets couldn't afford to wait any longer for that to occur.

all right. what the hell. on the car radio i hear a short piece with CD. when asked about barry and anderson he admits they have been ready to return but some other guys established themselves and they don't know who to put on the inactive list so that's the hold up there BUT NOW he admits they needed help at the position barry and anderson play and that wesley is shouldering too much of the load and to add further confusion he says they couldn't afford to wait any longer for Anderson and Barry to come back. all this is after the chronicle printed that barry and anderson both have been waiting to come back for about a week now. none of this makes sense.

the only theory i have is that Anderson or Barry or both are going to be involved in a trade or part of a trade and the Rockets don't want to risk an injury to either one of them which would kill the deal.
