Agreed. It would be a shame if the Rockets ended up anywhere but 790. More than any other station, their hosts are committed to putting Rockets talk on the air.
Actually, I do NOT want the Rockets on 790 . . . unless Wexler, Zierlein and/or Paulilo are involved with pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. I'd rather that 790 not have to spend too much on those rights and instead continue to spend on drawing all the best local radio talent. The Big Show probably costs them more than any other local sports radio show, but it's worth it. Those guys (and Charlie on the drive home) are the best in town!
It's worth it in quality, I agree. I just hope that whatever the ratings pull is for the show is 'worth it' in the eyes of the station.
