Hakeem and the Raptors are close to an agreement that might have Olajuwan living in Toronto by as early as tonight.

They are also saying that Dallas looking hard at Shandon Anderson.

Just hard this on one of the sports updates that they have 4 times an hour.

i just heard on 610 that the most the Raptors can give is 9.4 over two years. Is that the deal? And can't the Rockets match that?

Stay tuned to Mark Berman's sports report tonight. If anything happens, he will be the first to report it.

Sad to hear that he is leaving but I believe it was his decision to leave. Its not finalized yet so there is still a chance he remains a Rocket.

I don't care about Shandon...sorry verse...but if Dream leaves this will be the sadest day in sports history in Houston since Nolan Ryan left for the Rangers. Remember the Stros thought Nolan was basically done and he ended up b****ing a few more years collecting two more no hitters his 5,000th strike out and ERA's in the low 2s.

I just hope Dream and the Rockets part ways on good terms. Nothing could be worse than Dream holding a grudge against the Rockets and Houston. It would be a real sad ending to the career of the greatest Rocket in history.

Here's hopping the Rockets step up to the plate and make something happen to keep Dream in a Rockets uniform.

Could this be another one of Fegan's tricks? Is he trying to make the Rockets throw a huge sum of money at Hakeem in desperation? That wouldn't surprise me.

Dream will not get booed. Rockets fans aren't that classless.

I just hope this is all a nightmare, and when I wake up, ClutchCity headlines read 'Hakeem Signs'

Man, I dunno all the details, but I'd be pissed at Hakeem. He has been my idol forever and if this is REALLY about money, I'd lose a lot of respect. If there are other issues not being presented, we'll see ... but throwing away so much for money, when you and your family are set for life ... no way!

Hoping everything gets settled soon, and with a good ending [IMG]

This was a thread earlier last week....

But I wouldn't boo Dream if he signed elsewhere and came back here to play.

My mother always said, "Kill them with kindness."

If Dream's new team played us, and Houston fans applauded him, he'd always feel guilty for betraying a city that's given him all we could.

That said, I hope he stays. Would be nice to tell my kids/grandkids about No. 34 without ending the story with, "But in July of 2001...."

Just isn't looking good, I don't see him staying. I hope the Rockets pull off a sign-and-trade with Toronto and get Keon Clark and an exemption.
