Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover...How is this a problem?

    So there seems to be a bit of an uproar that this years SI swimsuit cover is going too far. Personally I like it, but I see it is a little risque. As a teen, I would have fapped in the grocery store rr (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=262429) if I ran into this, not that there's anything wrong with that.

    I saw this in the picture thread and paid no attention, but now that you mention it they did cut it awful close.

    Not that it bothers me, but I could see how it would bother some.

    Maybe years of p*rn have ruined my brain, but after hearing some radio hosts go off on it, I expecting something really bad. And I don't have a problem with it. The outrage seems overblown to me.

    I simply don't see the "problem." No genitalia revealed, the gold standard of "NSFW" - isn't it? Not even painted boobs. It's a chick in a bikini. Big deal. Sure, a babe in a bikini, but there are an endless numbers of good looking chicks in bikinis both on and off magazine covers. All you need is a good beach and warm weather.

    Yep. And a great way to sell is to push limits such as magnanimously accepting PILES of moneyz to put a "plus sized" woman in the issue. :rolleyes:

    I remember as a kid (pre-internet pron) getting a see though nipple was a huge thrill. Pushing to the edge of pron is kind of the tradition.

    No kidding, or finding a Playboy magazine, so tame by today's standards. Those thrills are lost to today's generation, in my opinion. They have their own thrills, of course, but the subject of this topic, "pron," is easily accessed. Heck, back in the day, taking your own nude photographs of a girlfriend, much less making a short film, required either knowing how to process the film yourself, or knowing someone who would do it for you, which could be awkward. At least I got credit hours for the photography classes at the university! Now it's incredibly easy. A major perk in today's world.
