Does anyone here collect sports cards or sports memorabilia? I haven't collected since I was a youngster, and everything I have I got in the sports card glut era so it's pretty much worthless. I was expecting to become rich of my pages and pages of Ken Griffey Jr. rookies, oh well.

I am thinking about buying a Luther Head Autograph rookie card off ebay thinking it's a good time to get him since no one really knows about him yet. Buy low, sell high. Does anyone here collect as a hobby or to make money?

I only really collect Rockets stuff, still looking for a good Dream autographed leather ball.. Do it for fun, things dont seem to hold a value any more.. there used to be someone on the board that was really heavy into collecting, but I dont remember his name..

When I was growing up, my father and I collected sports cards and starting lineup figures.

We have a pretty big collection, but we really haven't bought anything in years.

I used to collect comic books. I thought they were a better investment than sports cards because even if they became devalued, you can at least read them or let your kids read them.

However, recently people are uploading comic books to torrent sites now. So even that excuse doesn't work anymore. I have boxes filled with good memories but worthless comic books. :)
