I'm sorry that I have to post another thread in the last 5 mins, but this disturbing artical caught my eye. They put Jay Williams ahead of YAO MING?

Today, NBA fan Damon Gilm ranks the five best rookies so far this season, and projects how they will do the rest of the year.

    5. Jay Williams, Bulls

Pros: Heralded Duke man has had his moments where he looks like a Jason Kidd with more scoring ability.
Cons: Inconsistent, and has struggled lately. The triangle offense is not his thing.
Outlook: 10 points, six assists, three rebounds

    4. Amare Stoudemire, Suns

Pros: Has go-to moves, rebounding skills and plays solid defense. He is looking like possibly the best rookie high schooler ever.
Cons: Still working on his offensive arsenal.
Outlook: 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists

    3. Caron Butler, Heat

    Pros: Has a well-rounded, slasher-type game.
Cons: Slightly inconsistent and has quite a few off nights.
Outlook: 14 points, five rebounds, four assists

    2. Dajuan Wagner, Cavaliers

Pros: An Allen Iverson-type player who will put up the points.
Cons: Not a pure point guard, and he can't defend tall shooting guards.
Outlook: 18 points, four assists, two rebounds

    1. Drew Gooden, Grizzlies

Pros: He has NBA game. He can play either forward spot or center.
    Cons: Forces some shots.
Outlook: 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists

Even though it's just a fan's view of the top 5, I still can't believe that anyone would put Yao anywhere outside the top 1 or 2, or that SN would actually post something like that on their webpage.

Maybe he forgot that Yao is a rookie after seeing him play night in and night out.

    Occassionally, I forget myself...it's a compliment really :)

Who in the hell is Damon Gilm and why would anyone care who he thinks the top 5 rookies are?

He is just a fan. He can make any rank without kiss ass's ass.
Actually it is the same thing that I did not vote Shaq for the all-star center.

They? who? It's just some biased NBA fan with no credit at all. We gotta be confident Ming is in top 3 at worst. Please be guarded with that.

Exactly! Why bother with those silly fan ranking. I will only upset if I don't see Yao among the top 3 in NBA's 'Rookies Power Rankings'. As matter of fact, Yao is top one last week.

I think that Caron Butler should be knocked off that List and replace Ming there...

This idiot reporter doesn't know what he's talking about...
