I was browsing my Sporting News magazine and next to an article titled "Yao isnt going anywhere" there was a little snippet ... "Charlie Ward and Tyronn Lue give the Rockets depth and experience at point guard, but the team probably would like to add more size, defense and shooting down the road. Clippers PG Marko Jarik, a free agent in 2005, is a possibility..." I dont know who that is or if that would be anything desirable, but I thought Id still post it.
Come on man. You can't post snippets from the actual magazine. That stuff comes out on the internet way earlier. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83712 http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83739
marko is a third year pg on the clips i've seen him play he is a decent shooter from the field and is a good ball handler but not a good defender and while he doesnt necessarily turn the ball over, he doesnt really do a good job at running an offense. the clippers play a more up-tempo pace and he is more suited at that, playing in a half court his efficiency will drop. he can run a fast break well though. can jvg mold him? maybe. is he a better talent than sura and ward? probably. is he a good fit for our system? at this point no he isnt so i will pass on trying to sign him
this is why I haven't posted in this part of the message board in 2+ years. Go about your business fanatics.
Marko had his chance to shine last year and blew it. If he was brought in, it wouldn't solve anything, just add a yonger pg to the commitee who might not even see playing time. There will be better options with guys like GP, NVE, and Damon coming off the books.
Don't worry about it, DrewP, and keep posting. By the way, I love your sig! (my Dad took me to the games... I guess I was 9 or 10. The Oilers ruled! )
