Greek sports website sportime.gr is reporting that Span will meet with Daryl Morey and the rockets administration today in order to discuss his future on the team.

The Rockets do want to keep him and want him to play in the summer league. Spanoulis has said that he will be training with the greek national team. Don't know whether these coincide and for how long.

what future, Rox has his azz locked for 2 more years.

Enough already. Never in NBA history a 50th draft pick complained so much.

The Rockets hold all the cards, maybe they will tell him the inside on JVG and it can leak into the Greek press.

hahah good point. Vspan has potential... I guess, but I would much rather have the roster spot open for somebody like novak if Vspan isn't totally committed to improving on our team.

What the h*ll can Morey say?
Unless JVG is gone. . he cannot guarantee Span *anything*

Playing time? Nope. . JVG will do what JVG wants. . . so he [Morey] cannot tell Span much

Basically just give him a bunch of empty platitudes
You will get a 'fair shake' . . and 'Opportunity'
    but he cannot guarantee it.

He could tell him that the organization believes in him, and that JVG is out the door and a new coach of "HIS" choosing will be coming on board, and that Morey will make sure that the new coach plays V-Span next year.

    That, is my hope....

Span had that meeting yesterday and was told he was "very much part of their future"

The site is correct about Morey and Lyndsey wanting Span to play on the summer team (to get time a PG)

VSpan is done as a Rockets. He has no chance to play. He's a turnover machine...

If Vspan wants future, he better be working hard and shine in the summer league.

Calros Boozer had only one thing in mind last summer. That is to be the best PF in the league. He trainned and trainned down in San Diego with Luke Walton.

This is not only to Vspan. I wish every player including Tmac and Yao did just that, instead of crying and depressing over the summer.

Summer league huh? He'll finally get some PT.

He should have been in the NBDL all season long developing!

If he's still a Rocket next season, he needs to be in and out of the NBDL.

In if he continues to turnover the ball, and out if he improves his game!

This is so wrong it's funny, Spanoulis is ready to be an NBA POINT GAURD, not a spot up 2 gaurd. TO's will go down with playing time and you will see a guy who's game is similiar to a Tony Parker.

Ummm, is that wrong? It'd be one thing if he was American but he's Greek. He IS the best PG back home.
