By the way...how far can you drive a golf ball? I find it strange that I can out-drive Padraig.

My average drive is around 300 with a 3/4 swing. But when I do the full-out swing I reach 320+. My longest drive was 340...and it was actually on the "long drive" hole for a golf tournament, so I won an iPod for my efforts :)

I'd watch a lot more than just the Masters if they all did that.

You might outdrive him, but I bet he hits the fairway a lot more often.

A lot of guys on tour CAN nail the ball about 340 or so, but they don't because they are more accurate if they keep it around 300 or so.

Well, the Sport Science video was just him nailing a ball - didn't matter if he kept it on the fairway or not, so why wouldn't he hit it as hard as he could?
