Does anybody watch the show? It,sadly, doesn't air in Canada..And I can't find anything (video related) on the internet! I really wanna see what the show is like... It looks pretty sweet. So if anybody watches it, talk about it here if you'd like. And also, if anyone knows a site where i can catch a few episodes, please let me know.
i've only heard about it my cousin told me they had an episode where they tested "hang time" in which they proved that you can't be in the air for more than a second, but their test player was... Jordan Farmer....
yeah I learned in high schools physics there is no such special ability of getting "hang time", "float" or more "air" like MJ did, it's all dependent on how high they can jump not how long or far they stay in the air. The funny part is people will still bet their lives that it's wrong and think MJ clearly can float longer than other ppl that can jump just as high..
I saw the promo when I watched a rockets game online, and I want to see it, but too bad they dont show it here in mexico
The show sounds interesting. I saw it last night when I was watching the game online, too. But how many sports myths can you get? I would think that they'd be out of ideas after 2 seasons, tops.
MJ is very good at timing the release of his shots. His huge hands allow him to palm the ball and release it at the last second before his feet hit the ground. I think this and his amazing jumping ability plus his gracefulness while in the air gave people the illusion that he can stay in the air longer than everyone else.
The difference is MJ can control his body in the air. Some guys can basically jump straight up and do a basic shot. MJ can contort his body and wait till the last second to release the shot. Even though he isnt hanging for longer, he is able to use more of the time that he is in the air.
I didn't know people actually believed in hang time as it's own seperate thing? I always thought it was about how high you can jump.
Different kind of jump. MJ Jumped out and up, whereas some simply jump up. This allowed him to glide along or give the illusion of floating. DD
it's the way you move your legs too, those guys/ girls in the ballet can look almost like they are on wires sometimes.
