I hope its time for a reboot. The series got pretty stale, maybe a new perspective on the characters would be best. I don't want to pay $9.00 to go see another Spider-man 3. Will there ever be a super hero role that is completely owned by an actor? Even Connery was replaced although that was due to age. Now movies are coming so fast the main characters don't have time to age noticeably. Does Indy count as a super hero?
Is that even legit? Sure looks like a scam to me. Why would they be using a poster from Spidey 3 for such a supposedly big deal?
That struck me as odd, too...but it's literally on the front page of Ebay this morning. But I'm also guessing there's no art for spidey 4 yet, anyway...thus using the 3 poster.
Even if it isn't a scam, it's way too early to be promising something like that. The script is still being written and there will definitely be a 4th film and apparently a Venom spinoff movie as well (this is probably Sony's reaction to how Marvel is treating the characters they own the film rights to.) I guess they'll turn Connors into the Lizard and maybe use Kraven the Hunter. I know if I was writing it my basic story would be that Spiderman figures out Connors is the Lizard and is trying to help/cure him and keep his identity secret while Kraven comes to town to hunt the Lizard down at all costs. Anyways, the guy writing the script is the guy who wrote the script for Zodiac. I think Raimi will still direct it but he claims he might just produce.
I would make it the Lizard but have a side story about how the virus returns and spiderman is once again the black spiderman
Why do I feel like I'm the only person who thought all of the Spiderman movies completely sucked ass.
Marvel wanted to do a reboot. But the wound up renewing the license to Sony (or whatever company I forget), Spiderman 4 will not be a reboot.
Honestly it's time to have cameo appearances by other superheroes. I know they're doing an Avengers movie but a cameo would be good for Spiderman since..well...a good portion of his storylines deals with team ups. Iron Man vs. Spiderman Hulk vs. Spiderman Punisher vs. Spiderman Wolverine vs. Spiderman
I really liked 1 and 2. Enjoy the character. Didn't like the 3rd movie, ultimately. i hope they get back to some character development. But I'm sure my boys will love it, no matter what.
Would love to see this, but as mentioned, Marvel doesn't own the movie rights to either Spider-Man or Wolverine/X-Men.
I like 1 and 2 even though I never really liked Tobey McGuire or Dunst. Spidey 3 was too rushed. Now compared to Dark Knight, all the superhero movies seem week. All the superhero movies need to step their game up.
