I'll keep this spoiler free on plot matters:

I just got back. I won't spoil anything. It was a pretty good film, I can't say if it was better than SM2, but IMO it was better than SM1. There were a lot of plot points juggled around, but they did it well so theres always something going on. There are a few things I thought I wouldn't like, but they were actually quite entertaining because the movie makes fun of itself (i'm lookin at you, emo peter). There were quite a few musical and dance numbers...unnecessary.

Lots of hilarious moments, Jameson really shines and Bruce cambell's part was the best in the movie. The action was so so very great, I think better than SM2, in fact i'd say the action was better than 1 and 2 combined. They mastered the art of superhumans fighting in air. The movie felt just like the other two movies so even though it was years ago, it doesn't seem like anything has changed. One thing that was interesting was how emotional all the characters were. It's a long movie and I think they could have tightened things up.

All in all, everyone is going to watch it and unless you're uptight about continuity and the occassional emotional thing, this is a very fun enjoyable movie. You will laugh a lot, feel sorrow, feel a little embarrassed and you will ooh and aahh. The fight scenes are fantastic and are well worth the cost of admission (which I didn't have to pay for HA!). This movie lives up to the hype, i think the only ones who will have trouble are the ones who have seen all the previews and sneak peeks because they spoil you on parts.

    SM1-7/10
    SM2-8.5/10
    SM3-8.5/10

Best Marvel movie to date? Possibly.

Please tell me that the girl continually screams. That's my favorite part.

Man, I can't wait! Hoping to catch a midnight show with my friends tomorrow.

You guys got any predictions for what SM3 will take in its opening weekend? Man, the Box Office is so primed right now that $125 mil+ would not surprise me at all.

Judging from international reception, its going to break that. There is zero competition this weekend. It also covers almost all the demographics, so I think it will do better than the first movie, which did better than the second.

    SM1 - 7/10
    SM2 - 9/10
    SM3 - 3/10

I found SM3 to be extremely cheesy, the story line was awful and so was the acting.

Maybe my expectations were too high after watching SM2 but i thought this movie was terrible.

You just now realize all that? It took you 3 movies? :p

I think thats a running theme with Spiderman movies. The movies completely killed any badassness Spiderman had before.

I've only been skimming the reviews since I don't want anything else spoiled(the ads have given away WAY too much), but so far this is getting some pretty mediocre responses from those who've seen it.

A lot of people are complaining about it trying to fit too many characters into its 139-minute running time which is what I've been afraid of all along. It sounds kinda like what happened to Daredevil(the theatrical cut anyway).

It's definitely still a concern for me, though I'll see it regardless.

Just don't see how they can wrap up harry's story as well as venom in one movie.

that was my first thought when i read his post. how much of a badass can a dorky, scrawny, and cheesy one-liner superhero be?

that raimi has been able to capture that character and maintain it is awesome to me. the temptation would be to make him into a bad ass, i think.

i'm gonna catch a matinee or midnight showing. can't stand watching movies with a bunch of 10 year olds (actual 10 year olds and the "adults" that act like their 10).
