Puh-leeze... at last nights Astro's game vs the Reds, the stadium announcer let everyone know that The Little Mermaid and his be-yaatch Duncan were dining at Ruggles... they showed their ugly mugs on the overhead screen and I just wanted to PUKE! It almost ruined my night! Me and my crew were booing as loud as we could.

Big deal... 2 spers are spending $100 bucks or more a plate and they had to mention they were there!? Come on, give me a break, I didn't think they let those Former Short Season Chumpions out of the 410 Loop!

    Spers Suck!

Polishing off a meal after they polished off Jason Collier at Westside a few hours before, I suppose.

    Dude, chill!

Why are you worrying about the Spurs anyway? Rockets have been owned by the Spurs for years.

You "and your crew" should be worrying more about your main Midwest rivals.......the Mavericks and the T-pups. Get past them, then maybe the Rockets and Spurs can have a rivalry again.

    Hell, just make the playoffs..........

Hehe. Spurs fans talking smack are funny.

I went to a game against the Spurs last year in San Antonio. Sat about 10 rows up, right next to a whole delegation of Sunshine kids who also came up (Craig Biggio's organization). These kids were having the greatest time, yelling and screaming, etc, but the a-hole Spurs fans on our other side got really pissed that there were people cheering for the Rockets and left midway through the 4th. Freakin people can't even be happy for the Sunshine kids. It was pathetic.

I'd imagine that midway thru the 4th the game would be in the Spurs control. Maybe they decided to beat the traffic.....??

Regardless, if a couple fans couldn't handle some loud opposition, that is sad, but not representative of all Spurs fans.

(I wouldn't know. I gave away my tickets for that game.:)

Just like in March, right? By the way, the only "blowout" game where the Spurs were in control was a game in San Antonio with Steve trying to recover from an injury. The other 3 games were close. The one in Houston in December you barely won when Steve was out and Cuttino was hurt... the one in San Antonio in February we gave away, and the game that was the most crucial in March we came back from down 20 to win. Doesn't look like the Spurs were all that dominant against us last season.

Like I said, I gave away my tickets versus the Rockets. Probably have to give away this years as well.

Yeah I'm sure Everyone in LA will be giving their Spurs tickets away after your no-heart team ROLLED over in the playoffs....

Oh but thats ok.....You have your memories to keep you warm just like we do. At least in two years when Duncan is gone and Robinson is retired...you'll have

    1. A nice young team.... Uh no...
    2. Attractiveness to Free agents? Uh no...
    3. Your team might actually make money?? Uh no....
    4. A New empty losing arena??
    YES!!! Go Spurs...

I actually like the Spurs and wish they had shown some heart against the Lakers.....but don't come to a Rockets website and Insult us like that about you'll be giving away your rocket tickets as some form of an insult to our team....

As much as I love Duncan.....the Spurs are a third rate organization that's personell is lacking and has never been a haven for Free Agents...and the clock is ticking.....

Don't take it personal, I never go to all 42 games. There are just some teams you go see, and some you give away. I give Rocket tix to a client that is a Rocket fan.

Lets see, we attracted/signed Danny Ferry, Terry Porter, Steve Smith, Cherokee Parks, Bruce Bowen, and lets see, who else? Oh Tim Duncan. Yeah, we are unattractive.

I thought Duncan was supposedly gone last summer. :D

    3rd rate? How so?

The Spurs have done fine when it has come to free agency.

Funny that the clock continues to tick past last summer...:p

FYI, every move this off-season is geared towards re-loading in 2003...around Tim Duncan. Don't worry about SA, we'll have serious cap room to surround Tim and keep him here.

    While I'm in the statistical mood, what is 3-5, 5-3, 2-6, 10-14 ??

Thats your 2 year record versus Denver, Mavericks, and T-pups, and combined record over the last two years. Ouch! These are your main competition guys!

Get past these scrubs, then think about reinstating any rivalry with the Spurs, who you are 1-7 against over the same period.

Till then, take whatever satisfaction you can in weak cheap shots.

At least the Rockets have a future. All the Spurs have is their same old mediocre present. We, as Rockets fans, have something to look forward to, while the Spurs can just plod along, and get swept by the Lakers year after year. Still, at least you have that half-season asterix title season to think about. G'night.

    LOL! Nice try!

You are aware the only reason you have 2 titles is because Jordan was retired and you never had to meet the Bulls, right?

Hey, the way things are going, EVERYONE may be swept by the Lakers for years to come. Including a Rockets team still rebuilding, yet to add a tier 1 center to the team.

Thats assuming the Rockets can even get into the playoffs in the next couple of years. (gotta get past the Mav, Nugget, and T-pup juggernauts first!)

The only reason? I thought that the Spurs laying down during the playoffs was another reason.

OK....so you agree that the only reason you have 2 rings is by the Jordan default. I complement you Mango for having the sense to realize your two rings came because Jordan wasn't around.

As far as the Spurs "laying down"?? They lost to the eventual world champions 4-2. How is that laying down? Did Olajuwon have a career series that year because the Spurs laid down? Don't dis-credit your Rockets. They took the title not because the Spurs laid down, but because the Rockets were the better team.

I expected more from a Rockets forum, honestly. There are nothing but idiots, flamers, and trolls at the Mav, Blazer, Kings, and Laker boards. I expected some decent debate from Rocket fans.

Lets review: I raise concerns about the Rockets record versus Spurs, as well as your main competition: Mavs, Pups, Nuggets. I raise concern about your lack of a top center ( In a conference where 'ya gotta have one) Yet to be touched is the Rockets ability to field a team that can compete versus the Western powers.

So far all I've seen on this thread are lame immature comments, way too much opinion not backed up by fact, cracks against Spurs fans. Cracks against Spurs arena. Cracks against Spurs finance. Wishfull thinking, twisting of reality. Weak * reference.

Yet to touch any of the topics in the above review, huh?

304 views and this is the best 'ya got?
    Take it up a notch.

Great attitude. Must be a nice place to live, where people don't care about the happiness of disabled kids.

I'll just hope the other guy is right and they were not representative of the whole town, you excluded.
