Spanoulis' team was knocked out of the ULEB cup (contitental tournament) quarterfinals today (Tuesday) as result of points difference. The format is a two leg affair like a two game series and if each team split the wins, then points differencial is the first tie breaker. Spanoulis finished with; 25 points 9-18 shooting from the field 3-6 3-point shooting 6 assists 3 rebounds 3 steals 3 turnovers 3-4 free throws made In 32 minutes.
"3) He has received an invitation for this year's Houston's Summer Camp. According to rumours, he has already agreed to play next season, but he is gonna ask for guaranteed playing time. So, if he can give Bobby Sura some rest it is gonna be good for all." That sounds good. He sounds pretty good....good luck to him.
He's going to have a hard time cracking the rotation with James AND Sura in the mix, not to mention Moochie. Well, maybe not Moochie...
lol..I want videoclips of him and Badiane.. Sura and James is a great point guard combination. They are both good solid players with different strengths.. Hmm maybe that's why we didn't get Troy Hudson..or maybe Minny just offered more money.
Not understanding this one bit. However, if Spanoulis is looking for guaranteed time, I doubt he will be playing with the Rockets next year. Thanks for the updates!
I think we could use Spanoulis next year seeing how often Sura gets injured. He's probably a better shooter, too. Even still, we could play James as the two since he has more of a scorer's mentality with Spanoulis at the point. IMO, the sooner we get him acclimated, the better(and younger) depth we'll have at the 1. Also, I think Ward and/or Mooch both have options on their contracts next season.
