After watching today's game, I just can't wait to see V-Span and Yao play the pick and roll! Can you guys imagine how it'll look like?
his shot looked good to me. he seemed the the heart of the team. Hopefully Yao will upgrade his pick'n'roll attack. truly the silver lining for rocket fans. I hope he take that confidence into the gold medal game. I think he should start.
V-Span must be an insomniac, he's got some heavy duty punching bags under those eyes, looks like a blood hound.
He can play NBA level as he showed today. Now my concern is his shooting. He needs to improve his 26% outside shooting. We need to get Yao invovled PnR with him. He hits the roller perfectly with that laser pass of his. Tmac and roll with him too.
What is going to be interesting will be watching JVG develop him defensively. The guys absolutely looks for contact and creates a lot of it. I would imagine that as a rookie he will commit a lot of fouls and even foul out of some games. But I would bet that Van Gundy turns him into a rough Eric Snow type defender. He's got the physicality and the aggressiveness. He just needs good coaching there.
