I doubt it ever happens. Yeah Johnson wants it to be a 40 yard dash, and of course Bolt is going to try to make the distance longer. Just some more buzz with probably no ending. I remember hearing Johnson on the Jim Rome show a few weeks back saying he challenged Ted Ginn and he never showed up for the race after Joey Porter ran his mouth about it for awhile, even offering to put money on Ginn.

Johnson is fast no doubt, but Bolt is just....the fastest man alive.

Saw that too. Pretty much everyone showed up for the race except Ginn.

I could see Johnson winning if it was a 40 yard dash, but I think Bolt would dominate if it was anything longer.

Bolt takes a little bit to get those long strides going....

I could see johnson winning in the 60 yard area but anything longer...and Bolt is pulling away.

No way Johnson could beat Bolt at anything over 40yds. And even for a 40, I think it's a toss up. Sure, Johnson is fast as balls, but Bolt is super human. Additionally, while his starts might not be the best part of his race, he practices track starts (with blocks) every days, while Johnson does not. I wouldnt bet against Bolt in the 40.

I could see Johnson winning in a 80yd dash, but anything after that, Bolt is gone.

Heard on Jim Rome that Bolt's agent vehemently denies these reports. Apparently he thinks it would be terrible for it to look like Bolt is even considering running a short race for charity. Heaven forbid.
