Thanks for that compliment. I try to keep up with analytics ad much as possible while keeping them in proper context.
You said we could easily get someone as good as Capela. Those are the players as good as Capela. None of them are easily attainable. You are WRONG. Let me put this in a format you can understand: WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG
LOL. Write your own script. I didn't say any of those guys were easily attainable. Nor did I say or imply that they were better defensively than Capela. You did! Genius.
Clutchfans - Is Basketballholic (1) dumb but thinks he is smart, (2) dumb and knows it and doesn’t care, (3) smart and brilliantly trolling all of us; or (4) some other possibility I haven’t thought of. These are the questions that boggle the mind. Basketballholic - can you tell us more about yourself, like approximate age, where you went to school (if any), what degree you obtained (if any), what you do for a job (if any), and any other relevant info that could help us understand you better? I’d really like to know something of the man behind all of this.
Absolutely they offer Barnes, he's ok, nothing special, absolutely movable now that they have Doncic playing the same spots, not sure if the Wolves like him that much but, if i'm the Mavs i'd throw in Dennis Smith with Barnes and leave Dieng to the Wolves, i don't like Smith at all, he gives me Schroder/Reggie vibes.
I think 'dumber' people have lived a happier life. Playing it too smart doesn't mean anything out there.
We could have got Javale Mcgee. Honestly the way he's playing this season is very close to Clint and hes a lot cheaper.
Came back to this thread after a day and it grew 8 pages! Just want to comment on the logic that since we are bad on defense, Tucker is not as important as he was last season. Let's flip this to the offensive side. When Harden didn't have help on offense, should we just trade him because his importance was not that great without the right offensive team around him? That would be weird logic. "We are not a good defensive team anymore. So get rid of one of the best defensive player and we wouldn't feel anything."
well Harden is a perennial MVP candidate and top 5 player while Tuck is a really good role player Rockets have always been pretty good-elite on offense led by Harden even when he had questionable help
One thing I'll say is if the rockets truly scrapped the defensive identity they had a year ago then yeah, I'll say that Tucker is no longer as important bc his ideal value is primarily on that end. If the rest of the new additions don't buy into the defensive system or simply cannot bc they're just not capable defensive players which is very realistic, then as good as Tucker is defensively, no one player is capable of filling that many holes themselves. But then this also just confirms what many of us fear, and the rockets go back to being mediocre and stand no chance at being an actual championship contender with a terrible defense.
new cf's low. i guess the season is going that bad when poster's are actually wanting someone like McGee. my how the rockets have fallen
