The interesting part is not really what Obama will say (I expect a good speech), but what Rubio will say in the Republican response (mushy conservative pablum) and what Rand Paul will say (fiery conservative pablum) in the Tea Party response.

I think it's cute that the Repubs need two responses: one for the money guys and one for the base of the party that the money guys created.

balanced approach (more taxes, no spending cuts), fair share (take our money), invest in the future (corporate welfare), invest in education (redistribute our money to teachers unions), blah blah blah zzzzzzzzzzzz

Steve Stockman invites Ted Nugent to the SOTU.

Tone deaf Repubs make for some of the best Democrats.

Confirmed: Divisive president to deliver “aggressive” SOTU speech
POSTED AT 10:41 AM ON FEBRUARY 11, 2013 BY ALLAHPUNDIT

This doesn’t mean it won’t be overlong, enervating, and instantly disposable like the last four were, just more peevish than usual. It’ll also be an occasion for O to “pivot to jobs” for the seventh or eighth time in his presidency, which I take it means 15-20 minutes about the middle class and the latest iteration of the Buffett Rule before he gets back to the stuff that really drives him, like banning assault weapons and creating an earned amnesty for illegals.

Damn straight, exactly what he told the Russians he would do last year. He will use his CONSTITUTIONALLY appointed power to get around this historic republican obstructionism and give the American people what they voted for.

He could give the most basic SOTU address... heck, he could even cobble together something made up of lines just from Republican presidents since Nixon... and Republicans would cry Partisan!

Will this then be the path of all future presidents take when their initiatives will not pass the currently elected Congress?

I am quite sure the SOTU will include a lot of diatribe against our second amendment rights. It will also include a lot of "hot air" about global warming or the new term "Climate Change". There will probably be some talk of the wealthy not paying their "fair share". I expect the whole speech to be a big liberal circle jerk. He no longer has to worry about re-election so I doubt he holds anything back. The whole speech should make the majority on this forum ecstatic. I will try to watch but I expect I will get sick to my stomach (I know this will make some people happy):).

So you are for lunatics getting their hands on guns, you don't believe in basic science and you don't think the rich should be taxed?

    That's funny.

it amazes me that you believe in Bible prophecies, and somehow don't believe in global warming. and I am sure there are thousands of people like you.

    by the way---

You truly have no idea what any of those passages are talking about. Did you find those on some environmental wacko website? The Earth is indeed in danger of global warming from all the hot air coming out of the mouths of liberals.;)

does he smite people based on winky emoticons? Hell is very warm, you should prepare some shorts!

Hey, can you interpret where God says: "and then I shall do nothing for the the environment, because." Thanks in advance. Let me know how apathy for environmental concerns and stewardship jibes with Christian values or the Bible.

    try the Catholic Church
