Tonight is the 75 minute "The Sopranos" season finale for the fourth year. I haven't been this excited since... well since last year's season finale. Rumors are flying all over the Internet, including this very website, about the content of tonight's much-anticipated episode. Here's what I think will happen, based on the events to date and the teaser for tonight's show: 1. Meadow dies in a skiing (sp?) accident while with her boyfriend. In the teaser you see Carmella hanging up a phone with a horrid look on her face, followed by Tony hugging A.J. as if trying to console him (A.J. has a look of grief on his face). Add the pieces together and you get the death of Meadow. Plus, a few episodes ago Tony admonished the therapy sessions and said he was done. Since the therapy was a huge basis of the show in Season 1, I think they needed an incident to cause Tony to go running back to Melfi. What better than a death in the immediate family? Besides, Meadow's parts in the show this year have had no real substance and basically it seemed as if David Chase was throwing Jamie Lynn Sigler a bone. 2. Juror dies. In the teaser, we see an old Chevy Blazer getting shot up. I think the juror that Baccalla (sp?) stared down and sent goons to intimidate will go down violently. 3. We see Chrissy's Range Rover get in an accident in the teaser as well. I think the guys that stole it die by their own hands (speeding, wreck, etc.). Chase is known for not tieing up loose ends (just like in real life) and these hoodlums get the justice they deserve, but shockingly by coincidence and not by the hands of the mob. 4. Paulie dies. I hate to think it. He is my favorite character on the show, but I think Johnny Sac has played Paulie to show Tony that Mr. Walnuts isn't the loyal soldier he may think he is. Plus the gruesome killing of the elderly woman will put Paulie in a very bad light. For all the bad things these men do, they really and truly respect their mothers. Killing an old woman won't sit well with Tony and Silvio 5. Finally, Tony and Carm separate. I think Carm may flea the country and chase down Furio. She's obviously very unhappy with her life and the fact that she didn't become the sophisticated and educated woman that Meadow was. However, if Meadow dies, I don't see this happening. Say what you want about Carm, but she seems to be very family oriented, putting the family as a whole first (not individual relationships with each immediate family member, but the idea of "family"). If Meadow and A.J. live, I see her chasing down Furio because she was portrayed as so immensly distraught all throughout the last episode. Just some random thoughts from one of the world's biggest "Sopranos" nuts. T-8.5 hours 'till the big show. Usually I TIVO it so I can watch Sunday night football on ESPN. Tonight, I will have to TIVO the game and watch this episode live. No way around it! "Logoff, that cookie s*** makes me nervous" - Tony Soprano.
No way Carm leaves Tony. That would be completely out of character. Remember when she was talking to Father Phil in season 3? She is a deeply religious person, and the actions you describe are not allowed in the Catholic faith.
I wish Carm would leave the show. She's so annoying. Isn't Meadow's character in contract negotiations? I'm sure 4 different endings have been shot, pending how negotiations go.
I'm not saying they divorce. I never would see that happening. I'm just saying she tells Tony that she needs a break (using the onslaught of menopause and the pressures of running a household as an excuse). She tells Tony that he got to go on "vacation" to Italy a few years ago, now its her turn to do the same. She will say she wants to go to the motherland for a few weeks/months to clear her head, when in reality she may be going to find Furio. She'll return next year finally over Furio and ready to fix things with Tony. Again, just my opinions.
only an hour to go. i feel like a kid on christmas morning waiting for my parents to wake up so i can open presents! yeah, yeah, maybe i'm a loser for being so into this show, but i don't care!!!
meadow isn't going anywhere. she's shown promenently in the previews so she can't die in a skiing accident Carm will decide to leave tony something happens to AJ paulie and his gang die
I AM ****ING PISSED!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????????? sure, i got one prediction right about the separation... BUT GIMME A ****ING BREAK! I HAVEN'T BEEN SO LET DOWN SINCE MY LAST ****ING BREAKUP!
That was like masturbating without shooting your wad. I guess it's "set up" for next season. Tony/Carm's drama carries over there as well.
Pathetic. I am dumbfounded that this would be the season ending episode...........wheres the drama, wheres the cliffhanger???? I cannot believe I have been waiting all week for this garbage
What a waste of time. All the buildup, all the suspense - you'd think it was building up to some massive finale. Instead it was a massive dud.
i feel like a kid that got socks/underwear for xmas! i can't believe how excited i was about this show and this is what chase gave me... i'm speechless (but i can still type how pissed i am) edit: however i must give props to gandolfini and falco for those intense scenes... that was some outstanding acting... i was on the edge of my seat in those physical confrontations and when tony brought up the "you're going to hell" and carm told him about furio.
The lack of . . . anything in this episode was inexplicable. There was so much that could've happened tonight . . . and nothing. I feel like sending hate mail. Or chopping someone's head off and throwing their body into a river.
