The episode last night set up a number of story lines for this season. I like the angle with the old time gangsters coming out of jail. No doubt a power struggle will ensue with Carmine soon to kick the bucket. And Steve Bucemi is the ultimate in casting. He looks and fits the role of scumbag perfectly.

I was very happy with last night's episode, and yes it does set up several story lines. This will be a great last season of the Sopranos.

this isn't the last season. There will be a 6th season that will have 10 episodes. It won't start filming until next April. Probably won't air until the end of 2005, or early 2006.

The bear was an integral part of the episode and was very well done and continued the Soprano's use as wildlife as metaphors.

The ducks in season 1 were Meadow and AJ. The bear is Tony.

Was it really the bear that bothered you.....or was it listening to AJ cry for his mommy?

First time I watched the show in a couple years, and I'm glad I've started again. I kinda wished I hadn't have stopped, but I didn't have Tivo back then.:) I liked the episode. My favorite parts were the waiter giving Chrisy and Pauly some lip and the event that ensued and AJ cryin' like a little baby. Did they really need that? haha I don't know if I would have done that if I were him, but he is gettin' paid so what the hell. Can't wait to see the rest of the season.

Janice mentioned "I lost my wedding ring" and Bobby and the kids were mighty comfortable in Janice's house.

David Chase attempted to make a passing comment about the marriage without purposefully drawing attention to it. Very subtle and very cleverly done.

Dude she is 53, but still looks really good;)

AJ crying Mommy really made the charactor look like a puss. What would Tony think about that?

I really liked the Paul and Christopher bit. The charactors have always been great assholes and it really played off well from the Russian in the woods story a while back. I just keep thinking while watching the show, if one of these guys would stop being such an ass for just a second and say something decent their problems with each other would be over.

Season 4 was rather weak but after this im really looking foward to this season.

I believe that was a stunt butt for Dr. Melfi, though. Goodfellas' days, though...

I'm going to have to replay the Tivo a few dozen times in slo-mo and reverse ala the Super Bowl...

Just kidding. On first viewing I was surprised to see her gorgeous
n#$%&*s. But they brought a dead woman back for another role, so who knows.

I think Paulie is setting Chrissy up with a fake apology, to get his guard down.

Ultimately, I think Paulie will end up whacking Adrianna (b/c he finds out she's ratting to the feds) and Chrissie, in turn, will attempt to whack Paulie (whether he dies or not, I'm not sure about. I would love to see a plot with an attempted whacking on a made man go wrong, and the repurcussions on the family)
