Sooo I guess Cousins and Jokic complain differently.

Ha. I actually wondered whether that was the same ref as soon as Jokic went at him - because I thought the exact same thing.

But hey, any rational person can tell the league officiates specific people differently.

Just figured I’d share when I noticed it was the same ref... same situation... definitely a different outcome

Crew chief John Goble described the incident by saying that Cousins "received a technical foul for an overt gesture directed at an official in resentment of a non-call."

Cousins i hear is a bit like Artest, im sure the rockets will have to get use to this.

    It is pretty different.

Sorry to spoil the "officials cheat" parade, but the scenarios are very, very different.
Jokic hasn't just been T'd up for pushing and shoving and getting heated. Boogie just 2 minutes prior was giving the officials a serve after he (clearly) pushed off on Cauley-Stein and got a well deserved T.
If you get T'd up, you want to make sure a bit of time passes so you can show the official you are under control again.
What you don't do is go straight at the same official and complain at him - when you do that, you get tossed.
It is 100% at the discretion of the official, but if he feels the players is being disruptive to the game, he is well entitled to throw him out of the game for that 2nd incident.

Having said that, I do agree that the officials treat players differently, reputation allows some people to get away with things that others wouldn't. But this isn't that scenario

Never said anything about officials cheat... same exact complaining at the ref though on the play by both players towards the same ref. Both should be called as non T’s as the ref was not in any danger and they were both simply frustrated at the non call... one was made correctly and the other was not.

It's not the same - Jokic didn't get T'd up for "non-basketball related physicality" 90seconds earlier.

It makes a difference in the way the officials call a player - and it should. Boogie needed to be smarter and just play the game without going at the officials again.

When Cousins did it... it was a terrorist threat but when Jokic did it... he's just protesting a call. Figures...

Jokic is constantly fouled and he never gets the call. He complains but he rarely swings his arms and is demonstrative.

    deport Jokic for sedition.

funny, i don't recall boogie ever getting ejected as a worrier for anything. i do recall kd dribbling a few times out of bounds w/ the same jon goble there though. must have just been very, very different scenarios. let's all just remember though that "officials don't cheat" ;)

It’s a BS call but such is life when you have a reputation. Boogie should’ve known better though. He already got a technical and made the bucket. Just play on.

Thats cause he barely played for the Warriors. Ever heard of Draymond Green? Also KD was 3rd in technical foul leaders in both 2018 and 2019.

and exactly how long did boogie play as a rocket? how many times was donkey ejected vs the amount of times ANY OTHER PLAYER IN LEAGUE HISTORY would have been w/ the same behavior??

Jokic is WHITE obviously! No tattoos and no menacing look and the official doesn’t feel threatened cause he just Joking! Bahahaha... Plus, I’m convinced NBA is on track to be like WWE nowadays. Pay to play... Rockets will never see a championship ever again in my lifetime... especially now that Harden is leavin.

Boogie is a victim of his reputation he has a rep of being a guy who complains constantly so there are some refs that won't pay it any mind and then some will have the quick trigger like the one in the Dallas game.

Got me thinking has the U.S. govt ever denied NBA of working visas :D for whatever reasons.

News: Luka and Jokic to miss games, until visa is renewed.
Probably not, too much money at stake.

In other news: Drake, Bieber and Tory Lanez still allowed on U.S. soil. o_O. Certain people don't get theirs extended, but if you're a famous musician or ballplayer rules are different.
