Virtual Reality personal experience/ price tag: $799 I think it's a little too much for my comfort, but a cool gadget nonetheless.... <iframe src="http://revision3.com/html5player-v11172?external=true&width=555&height=312" width="555" height="312" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen mozAllowFullscreen webkitAllowFullScreen></iframe>
That's sweet. I'll wait for a few generations. Remember when portable LCD-DVD player combo was $1k in stores? That's what this feels like. Also, is this a gay nerd show? I got the gay vibe from these guys. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
This is the same VR crap that no one bought a decade ago. It won't sell. These companies sooner or later are going to realize the only way that people will buy 3D is if it's passive and doesn't require glasses (ala nintendo 3ds).
I don't care about the 3D component of this. Having it 720p and all to myself is pretty awesome, especially on a plane.
*taps your shoulder* "Uhhh... sir? The captain would like to speak to you..." "He wants me to take off my 3D glasses? " "No, he wants a copy of your movie. Also the lady in front would like to know what kind of lotion that was. " [Meh. It's a work in progress.]
Well. They just killed it for me. If I want to watch a 3D movie I'll just watch it at the movie theater, since apparently that's the only thing this device is good for. Was hoping this would be a device that encompasses your entire "view range" not just a screen...
I used this in the Sony store. Its actually pretty cool but its not crystal clear yet. At the price its not worth it at all. I would rather buy me a new tv or even a couple of play stations
the thing that sucks about all these 3D video games, movies, systems, gadgets reviews is they can't demo it and show us how awesome it is. I might go down to the Sony store and see if they have a demo unit. Looks pretty cool. Oh and I have the 3ds and I almost never use the 3d. I turn it on for a few minutes just to see a cool effect but play most games with the 3d turned off.
Wouldn't mind checking this out...I tend to get things after the 2nd gen and they have knocked out the kinks.
