Sonics up one at the half. Who do we want to win this one? I'd say, go Seattle, because we need to catch Minnesota. Even if Seattle wins today, the Rockets would still be percentage points ahead. If Minnesota wins, the Rockets will drop to four games behind for the 8th spot. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Of course we want Minnesota to lose since they have the eighth spot and since we must be ahead of them at the end of the season and not tied due to our horrible Western conference record. If Seattle is close to us at the end we could possibly still own the tiebraker should we beat them the next two games we play. Minnesota is the only team ahead of us that we could potentially catch that we cant own the head to head matchup. With Phoenix, Dallas, Seattle and Denver we can still win the head to head and still have a greater chance. For the Rockets to get into the playoffs they must end up with the 8th seed outright since everyone else has a better conference record. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
Damn GP misses a 3 in the final seconds that would've won it. Going to OT now-- GO SONICS! We don't need the gap to the playoffs to go back to 4 games... ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed. There's no doubt. Well, I'm just about ready to write off the playoffs for the Rockets. It doesn't matter what they do, Minnesota just keeps winning, despite being one of the worst assembled teams I've ever seen. They are a force, and they never lose. No playoffs this year. Here goes the typical ridiculous ZRB postgame comments. They are now a force by squeaking by an average to below average Seattle team at home? They never lose? They've lost 6 of their last 10. Who have they beaten in their last 10 games? Golden State, Detroit, Denver, and Seattle. A force who never loses? This is ZRB at his finest. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed. There's no doubt. Yeah, I'm in my prime. I just hate the T-wolves, and they keep winning. Bloody hell I hate them. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
We'll see if Minnesota keeps winning with that brutal schedule coming up! Come on, a force that never loses? Minnesota just got off of losing 6 of 7. They happened to run into some teams struggling as much as they are. The Rockets will be fine as long as they keep winning. Minnesota will stumble. Their schedule is just to tough. ------------------ Rocks2001 in disguise. . .
I agree, lets take a look. Minnesota at Charlotte, at Miami, at Orlando, Miami, at S.A., at Dallas, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, New Jersey, at Seattle, at Sacramento. I see a 4-8 record Houston at Atlanta, L.A. Clippers, Golden St, at Phoenix, Indiana, New Jersey, S.A.,at Sacramento, at Clippers, at Seattle, Phoenix, at Washington I see an 8-4 or 9-3 So by the Washington game we could be in the 8th seed. I would at least like to be a minimum of 1 game behind Minnesota. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
