You sure? Or just your personal feelings? I assume he will be a Spur. But you never know.

remember when tmac was just traded here and clutch (along with most people here) were campaigning for the MLE to be used on brent to be the starting PG?

i'd say this time around the rockets have a solid chance at him.

Come on Jon, get your brother to sign with Houston. Houston is home to all the Barrys.

Wouldn't be surprised if he signs with the Suns.

What teams can (and are likely to) offer more money than the Rockets?

Jon Barry and Rick Barry ended their careers as Rockets.

If we do somehow sign Barry, the Bonzi+Mike James for BJax wouldn't look too shabby.

It's up to Morey and maybe McGrady to get this done.

Barry will wait 30 days and sign with the Spurs. HE probably made an arrangement with the Spurs, but they didn't announce it like Stackhouse.

Even if they didn't make a prior deal, the Spurs can offer him just as much money or more than the Rockets. So if money is the same. he'll go with his family, the Spurs.

If Barry returns to the Spurs it won't be for more money. They're more vigilant than the Rockets are at staying under luxury tax.

He will go back there so he can have another chance at a ring.
Edit: To be honest he isn't the type of guy that I would like on the Rockets. We need an athletic defender with some size who can shoot.

They have their MLE. They can offer him more than anyone who might want him. Rockets are outside looking in on this one.

no team will offer more than the minimum, but what other teams have that the rockets may not is a chance at playoff success and playing time.

the suns, spurs, rockets, and celts in that order can offer the best combination of winning + PT. IMO.
