Wow Lewis is leading this team to victory w/ Barry helping out also. Even without Ray Allen in the line up they have a 5-1 record, thats pretty impressive can they keep it up? Didnt they also say they are looking to win 50 games this season?
No frontcourt = major drop off. Seattle started the season last year something like 7-0, and then started slipping to the bottom of the pack. They're going to get pounded in the paint by the West's top teams. I could see them slipping into the playoffs though.
Lewis is on a tear. He's 3rd in scoring in the league, shooting 52%. Let's bash the management for passing him up on two counts.
i can't believe no one's ever brought that up around here. i guess everyone forgot we had a chance at him.
playing the clippers twice is like us playing miami and orlando. The only difference is that they havent been killing the other teams offensively AND defensively
it is clear it is rudy's fault, we should fire him i'm amazed about Murray, did anybody know he could play like that? where did he come from. last year 1,5 point per game.
& murry is no wayyy better than lewis the guy has only played 5 games he has alot more to prove before he passes up a badass player like lewis just to let u know Verse
i'm not saying that flip has proven himself. he has not. i'm just saying that after watching the first 5 games of seattle's season, i think murray is actually playing at a higher level than lewis is. that is, right now. soon enough, scouting reports will come out on flip, and we'll see how he reacts to the defensive changes to come.
How come? I mean Shard scores more points(28 ppg compared to Murray's 23.4) and shoots at a higher percentage than flip.
It's interesting how the Sonics are getting such great quality play from two 2nd rounders...sorta like our own Cat. Even though Lewis is shooting better and scoring more points, and all his stats appear to be better, I think Murray stepping in for Ray Allen, who was supposed to be their star and leader, and playing this well has led the team to 5-1. Admittedly, without Rashard, the Sonics wouldn't be this good, but on the flipside, without Murray and Allen, the Sonics would suck pretty bad too. So it's been a joint effort, but Murray's play thus far is a huge factor, since this was supposed to be Rashard's breakout year anyway.
Well, Sonics got killed by the Pacers tonight. Their lack of ANY semblance of an inside presence was exploited tonight: they got outboarded 52-37. Jeff Foster got 10...OFFENSIVE boards. Whoever said they'll fade into 9-12 place in the West was probably right.
