I was about to post the same thing. The spurs are in trouble now that Parker will be sitting for awhile and with them on there annual rodeo road trip....

The PG position is the most important position in today's game.

That was some seriously clutch play by Kurt Thomas and the other Sonics. Ridnour handled the ball well and KD hit the go-ahead shot with about 35 seconds left.

The Spurs defense just isn't there right now. Bruce Bowen looks over the hill (but I've said that in prior seasons). They put the squeeze on during the 3rd quarter but then the Sonics stepped up and went on a big run to close the gap going into the final period. This is a classic example of if you let an inferior team hang around too long, bad things can happen.

The Spurs are especially vulnerable with both Brent Barry and TP out with injuries. TP's heel better heal fast. Heh heh.

Like I said in another thread ----

Seriously - San Antonio is in some trouble.

    - Parker injured, out indefinitely
    - Jacque Vaughn is the only viable point guard on the team
    - This means that like the '06-'07 Rockets, Manu is now the only guy on their team who can penetrate and break down defenses
    - Brent Barry injured, may not return for a good while
    - Robert Horry is seriously struggling, looks like age has finally caught up with him
    - Bruce Bowen is struggling on offense, and Udoka is trying his best to put up a poor man's impersonation
    - Last three items mean that 3 point shooting, the staple of their offense, has been hit badly. Michael Finley and Matt Bonner are now the only guys who can space the floor reliably for them.
    - Elson sucks. Really, really sucks.
    - They haven't beaten a good team in their last 24 games or so. No, really. It's been a long, long time since they've beaten a good team.

I still say they're a playoff squad, but man, they don't look good.

I don't know... I could see Manu playing the PG effectively. They just need Finley/Barry to step up. Maybe could have used JR Smith right about now. Seriously though. Manu at PG should suffice offensively.

Mike James for Brent Barry while Spurs are in panic mode. Barry the near 50% FG shooter at PG Rockets are looking for.

I was of the opinion that the Spurs' record is only due to them coasting during the regular season, like before.

But this year truly could be different.
