Help me out here guys. I know for a fact that CCR metions Houston in one of their songs, but for the life of me I can't think of it. So I have only come up with one. Johnny Go ( San Antonio )

It took me a while, but I found it. - Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Midnight Special" ( Houston ) Also the song "In My Time Of Dying" was wrote somewhere in the DEEP South. I wounder where? I know it dosen't metion any place from Texas, but what a bad ass jam.
Nice job Palmray. I would think ZZ Top would have atleast one. They better have dang gumit. * Breaking news * - Van Halen is set to come back with a new album and a tour to follow in 2004. It has been said that Sammy and Van Halen have put their differences over the last seven years behind them, and they are ready to start things over. Problem is that I always liked old Van Halen better. Now that was some serious bar music.
To make this more difficult, I would like to change my title to (City's from Texas). That's what I meant to say to begin with. But hey, as long as I get some responses you can throw Texas around as you wish. Don't mess with Texas
Not "bar music" but of course Lee Greenwood's "Proud To Be An American." "From Detroit, down to Houston... from New York to L.A..." What's the country song? "Houston... Houston means I'm one day closer to you." And the "Hoops There It Is" 97.9 the Boxx remix... "Rock the house, 'clutch city' wants a win..." and " That 'Houston Rockets' winning pride..." Biggie Smallz mentioned Houston too, right? And De La Soul did too... in fact many, if not most rappers doing city shout outs mention Houston. Most rockers would just mention Texas in general if they did at all.
O.K. to apease myself the new thread title is going to be "Songs From Either Roc & Roll Or Classic Roc that metions City's From Texas." Jimminy Christmas
You Can't Get the Hell out of Texas - George Jones Good Texan - The Vaughan Brothers Texas - Waylan Jennings/Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash/Kris Kristofferson Deep in the Heart of Texas - Moe Bandy Hustled Down In Texas - Johnny Winter The Devil Lives in Dallas - Rusty Wier Texas Flood - SRV Texas on a Saturday Night - Willie Nelson Way Down Texas Way - Asleep At the Wheel Honorable Mention Lord Only Knows - Beck
