You know the one where the guy is driving through a neighborhood and all the houses have swing-sets with kids playing in the front yard. The guy just stares out the window as he drives, giving the impression (to me anyway) that he would love to be a kid again. Very haunting song that grabbed my attention the first time I heard it. The song is "We've Been Had" by The Walkmen The lyrics you here in the commercial are: "I'm a modern guy, I don't care much for the go-go, or the retro image," Anybody own any of their CD's? or ever seen this band live? I have read some pretty good reviews on their live shows.
They were the darling of the indie world last year. According to all the magazines and such, they're supposed to be real good.

There is a Nissan commercial out that plays Tommy Tutone's "The Cars" In one section, there is a part where the commercial shows the dad driving and it pans to the rear where a young boy is sitting in back with the window open. I swear that this looks just like my son, but a little older. After I first saw it, when I heard "The Cars" again, I swear I grabbed everyone in the house and made them sit in front of the TV. They all agreed with me. Now I really love that commercial!

Nissan commercials have been pretty good lately. I like the one with the people all looking at 350Z. On the other hand, I think its time to put the "zoom zoom" kid out of his misery. How can Suburu (sp) not think that is irritating?
22 seconds into this clip...not the same one I've seen on tv though...quicktime video edit-it's the child right after the hot chicks get out of the car...not the kid in the front seat ready to put the car in gear and roll over his dad's foot and out of the driveway into the middle of the street.
I love the Walkmen and that song from the saturn commercial! I'm buying the CD just on the strength of that song!!
I think it is also Saturn that has a new commercial with Alphaville's Forever Young. They are aiming at the young and the modern apparently.
Remember that VW comercial five years ago? It was two guys driving around and stuff. And the music keeps going "da da da da. da da da da. da da da da." I love that comercial. What is the name of that song?

Did you see the new commercial? Not as good as the first, same thing, young people driving by a high school kids on prom night. Why do companies rehash the same thing, just leave well enough alone.
