    way to jump to conclusions. The series isn't over yet. Go read the game 4 thread.... when the lakers were up by 24, there were idiots in there talking about how bad of a choker KG is and that he'll never win a championship - my how things change over the course of 1 game.

    No it isn't. The Atlanta Hawks took the celtics to 7 games. Kobe will never be MJ. But this series isn't over.

    It's over. The Hawks won all of their home games and they never blew a huge lead at home like L.A. did last night. I don't think a team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals either.


    BTW, let's please stop with the Kobe/Michael threads.

    PJ, is that you? You said the same thing on TV. Its over my man, no team in NBA history has come back after being down 3-1.

    As far as MJ, when has it ever been questioned that MJ is the better player? I think even Kobe would concede that.

    Even I have to admit this series is over. But to be fair, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol hasn't exactly been Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant or even Dennis Rodman for Kobe.

    very typical..

    when Lakers are winning: it's all Kobe! Kobe is better than MJ! he's sharing the ball he's a basketball legend! unbelievable!

    when Lakers are losing: well, umm, his team hasn't exactly been Scottie Pippen Horace Grant or even Dennis Rodman! it's all their fault! get Kobe some help! :(

    truth is, Kobe sucks, he currently has the best supporting cast in the entire NBA, if not in history.. give me a single thing that this team doesn't have (other than heart of course, and an UNSELFISH superstar who's not an egomaniac).. post present? Gasol. Rebounding? got plenty of that. bench scoring? Sasha, Radman etc...

    so you're telling me, that pau gasol and lamar odom has been playing well in these playoffs...as well as Pippen played in any of the 6 years the Bulls went to the Finals? It's been a while but I DO remember Pippen putting a good amount of time guarding the like of Magic Johnson, Shawn Kemp and the like. Oh yea, I forgot about Toni Kukoc too. Aside from Game 3, Odom's been laying crap games for the Lakers. Gasol has had his moments but those are far and few in between.

    Do I dare to even respond to this?

    Post PRESENCE? Gasol is having a hard time back down Kendrick Perkins and PJ Brown

    Rebounding? They're getting outrebounded left and right. Their best rebounder has been Lamar Odom.

    Bench Scoring? If you're going to lump a STARTER (Radman) into the equation, that's fine. But their only consistent bench player HAS been Sasha. Luke and co. decided vacation started a week ago.

    Take Kobe away from the Lakers and insert MJ. Not 93 MJ, not 98 MJ, I am talking about 2008 MJ. MJ right now. Get him in shape, insert him at the 2, I guarantee you the series would still be 3-1.
