...Someone just parked their Dodge Avenger with its tail end sticking about 2 feet into my driveway, making it very difficult for me to leave and pull back in just a bit ago.

This will also make it very difficult for me to leave for work at 7 in the morning.

So, copying the website, I just handwrote a note that says, straight up, "You park like an *******!"

We'll see what happens in the morning.

    I don't really care.

I live in a 2-unit apartment, so it might not be as easy as he thinks.

I will go write down this person's license plate, just in case.

If they want to come into my house, after me, let them be my guest. I do own a steak knife, and I'm a pretty big guy. They don't want to mess with me.

Besides, I'm pretty sure it's a girl, a.) because of the bad parking job; and b.)because of the girly beads hanging from the rear view mirror.

That's what I'd do. I hate it when people do that. And they need to learn the lesson the hard way or they never will.

I went out, moved my car about 3 houses down, and got the license plate number and a description of the car, just in case.

I just want to play a little game with these people. I'm pretty sure I have a good idea of the house they're from, but not totally, so I can't knock on the people's door and wake them up like I want. These people, though, are constantly parking with several inches of their bumpers in m driveway....tonight, there's a little too much, and I'm kind of angry about it.

Why do you have to wait up for anybody? If they're parked illegally, a tow truck driver will tow them. Can't you just call a towing company? They'd be happy for the income and that person would never park anywhere near your driveway (or any other) again.

Does it really work that way?

I thought you had to get the cops involved, and give them a parking ticket...

I'm not sure if it works that way. I've never actually done it. My girlfriend always talks me out of it. But I know that tow truck drivers don't need cops to tow from no parking zones and your driveway should be a no parking zone. Anyway, the note should do the trick just as well.

Thanks for asking about my leg. The pain is much better now but I'm getting pretty stir crazy. I have to keep it elevated above my heart, so I've basically been in bed for four weeks (more than one of which was spent in hospitals). And I've got five more weeks in bed coming up. So that sucks but at least the pain is better.

Did you get your surgery done?

If so, what kind of hardware did you get? Like, how many screws, etc.

Yeah. One plate, two screws. The pain was unusually bad -- I spent five days in the hospital after surgery because of it -- so I saw a pain doctor yesterday. He said that what I was describing indicated neurological damage so I think they nicked a nerve. I'm on nerve pain pills and anti-inflammatories in addition to my pain meds now and I'm doing a hundred times better.

During surgery, the doctor also found two broken bones on the top of my foot that he hadn't seen on the x-rays. But he said those would eventually heal on their own.
