    Couple Allegedly Report Stolen mar1juana

Fri Dec 3,10:13 PM ET Strange News - AP

CALLAWAY, Fla. - Help, police, someone stole my pot! A Panhandle couple is under arrest after notifying police Thursday that their quarter-pound stash of mar1juana was stolen and that they needed the weed back, because they were going to later sell it.

"They're America's dumbest criminals," said Lt. Ricky Ramie, head of the Bay County Sheriff's Office narcotics task force.

Deputies arrested 18-year-old John Douglas Sheetz and 17-year-old Misty Ann Holmes and charged the duo with possession of mar1juana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the police report, the couple returned to the home they share and found the home broken into and a quarter-pound of mar1juana missing. They immediately called authorities to report the break-in and theft.

Police said the couple told them they were going to resell the mar1juana and allowed the detectives to search the apartment. Investigators discovered several mar1juana stems among other drug paraphernalia during the search, The News Herald in Panama City reported for Saturday editions.

They were taken to the Bay County Jail and are each being held on $17,500 bond.

    Pretty stupid.

Reminds me of a lady I once saw on Cops. She called the cops over because she thought she was sold fake crack and wanted the dealer arrested. The cop did a chemical test on the crack, found it was real and arrested her on the spot. She put up a huge fight because,

"I called you! You can't arrest me! I called you!"

The cops both had pretty big grins on their faces.

I have a good friend who is a police officer and often talks to friends in narcotics. He says that at least once or twice each year, someone comes into the main police department building with drugs and wants the narcotics department to test them and make sure they are real because they think they were ripped off by the dealer that sold the drugs to them. :D

    I saw that one.

There was another one where a lady called the cops to report that she had just bought crack at a crack-house and she wanted it shut down. She was trying to tell the cops that the only reason she bought it was to prove to the cops that it was a indeed crack-house. They arrested her.

    I love that show. :D

Yea...and this has nothing to do with being stoned. This is just being inherently stupid to begin with. I'm sure stupidity runs in some gene pools. I don't think you can consider that as naive, either. I've never met a person this stupid. This also happens quite frequently as it seems like I'm running into a news story on the subject every year at least if not more. This kind of logic just doesn't compute. Oh...we'll get them to enforce criminal law against the break-in/theft but we will also implicate ourselves in drug dealing/paraphernalia. Shh...I think I hear the theme to "Deliverance" playing. Shhh.... . "What's the law, occifer? Never heard of it! I just want my weed back so I can sell it."

    Brilliant! (picture Guinness guys toasting)

Wait... they're charging them with possession with intent to deliver? If there was possession, they wouldn't have called the cops!

Stories like this remind me of the Darwin awards, except nobody dies.

That sounds like a sketch from SNL when Liam Neeson hosted.

I remember now, he goes to the police with his wife and they keep coming up with lies to try and borrow a drug sniffing dog to find the pot they misplaced.

Before my wife and I were married she lived in a small apartment complex (10 units). I became fairly good friends with teh super and would occasionally help him with odd 2 person jobs, one because he was old, and 2 because he was real good about coming out and fixing things when she had problems. He usually had stories to tell but most of them were generally about the single women that lived ther always calling him becasue they stopped up the toilets with tampons. One day he coems over and wants to use the phone. I let him in and he tells me he has to call the owner and get my wife's neighbor evicted. He calls the owner and I wasn't really paying attention. I figured the guy and his pregnant girlfriend didn't pay the rent (they were pretty shady, and I suspected them of breaking into my car and stealing about $1500 worth of stereo and computer equipment from me). So I asked Lou what the deal was. He tells me they called him because their AC unit died. He shows up to fix it and they won't let him in. Come to find out they had been growing MJ in their bathroom and forgot that the unit had an access panel in there. They wouldn't let him in, so they were evicted. I know the cops ended up getting involved but I am not sure if they were arrested or not.

I actually used to pay part of my rent in pot. It was a rough complex, with a number of biker types living there. The manager was a part of that group, and would frequently accept pot as rent. This went on for about a year, till new owners came in and fired everyone and evicted about half the tentants.

    Bingo! Spot on!

I love how people try to blame this on these two smoking dope. I got news for you....these two were born stupid, obviously.

A close friend of mine is one of the most successful chest surgeons in the nation. His reputation is worldwide, and he makes a very pretty penny.

He also smokes a ton of mar1juana, often four or five times a day, although never prior to surgery.

actually, wouldnt that help him keep his hands steady if done beforehand? ;)

I do agree tho....this act of stupidity has nothing to do with being stoned...them people are just plain old STUPID.

btw.....a quarter pound? how many here realize how much pot that is?

IIRC, that is between 15-17 quarter bags......

Perhaps it would help keep his hands steady...I have no idea. A quarter pound is 4 ounces (16 ounces= one pound).

Still...that is kind of scary to contemplate if I'm the patient. I would feel better if he didn't smoke at all and then operated on me. Do you think anyone would want to be operated on by him if they knew that? No way. Tell your friend he scares me. "It" can affect judgement and memory...just not to the extent that these stupid bastids showed by going to the cops when they had no business doing that. They just should have sucked it up and got over it.
