    Hint: look at the signs of all the numbers which are multiples of '9'...they all happen to be the same... :eek: :p :)

    It is very similar to the trick that you can use to figure up 2 digit multiples of 11.

    What's 11 * 22= Easy 242.

    11 * 17 = 187
    11 * 35 = 385

    See the pattern? The middle number is the sum of the 2 digits of the original number.

    How is this useful? I have no idea! :D
