With the recent signing of Gilbert Arenas by Washington you can see that they are grossly overloaded in the backcourt(Jarvis, Stackhouse, Hughes, Dixon, Blake, and now Arenas)
Since it is evident to all true Rockets fans on the board that we are undertalented at the backup guard position I took the liberty of consulting the well and came up with a beneficial trade for both teams.

    Rox send :
    PG Moochie Norris
    C Cato

    Rox recieve:

    PG Juan Dixon
    PG Larry Hughes
    C Brendan Haywood
    F Etan Thomas

.............the Wizards clear up a Logjam and recieve a more productive center while marching out a line up of:

    1 Arenas, Blake, Mooch
    2 Stackhouse
    3 Jarvis, Jeffries, Simmons
    4 Kwame, Laettner
    5 Cato, Jahidi

...........We get more bodies and a talent upgrade @ the backup positions:

    1 Francis, Dixon
    2 Cat, Hughes, Nachbar
    3 Posey, Rice
    4 Mo Taylor, Etan Thomas
    5 Yao, Griffin, Haywood

If we are all in agreement let's start a petition and give CD a ring
    ;)

I don't think that helps the Wizards. Brendan Haywood will probably become better than Cato. I think there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more beneficial trades for the Wizards elsewhere.

and you actually think the wizards would make that trade?

just because RealGM says it works doesn't mean it will.

The reason I think they would make the deal if presented is they get a legitimate starter> Cato ( don't laugh he would be a top three center in the East) and they clear out some fringe players they duplicated through the draft and free agency. Haywood is ok but if you have watched him enough he has the same problem as TMo "potential"

Even though the Wiz management are not too bright at selecting draft picks or making trades, I don't think they are foolish enough to trade for two overpaid players on our team...

Forget the Wizards!I don't want to make that trade!
Do we realy want Washington's trash?
I know I don't!Even if that mean's being stuck with Moochie!
If we make a trade might as well be for a starter!

I was waiting for the Francis Bashers to begin asking the question:

Now can we trade Francis for Arenas and Brown?

This trade proposal ranks right up there with the best of them  :D

When Haywood does what Cato does at a fraction of the cost and age, Dixon and Hughes each are probably about equal to Moochie in skill/contract but with more potential, and Thomas is a servicable banger prospect with cheap contract--as a Rocket fan I have to say great trade.

In all seriousness depending on what happens this year that might no be a bad idea.

They're overloaded in the backcourt, but they're going to take on Moochie and his contract? Mmkay.

Brendan Haywood is every bit as productive as Cato at 1/6th the price. And what on Earth would they need with Moochie? Ughhh...

Since Cato == Haywood, this trade assumes

    Mooch's hair == Dixon
    Mooch's left foot == Hughes
The rest of Mooch == Thomas

    I think I'd trade Moochie's hair. :)

Terrible trade for the Wiz to make but in a fantasy world good trade for Rocks.

The wiz wouldn't do it because no GM that wants to keep his job is going to make a trade that involves Paying Moochie to be on their team. However, I don't want one player on the list to play for the Rox. Sure, Larry Hughes is better than Moochie, but he still sucks.

I would also hate to see the Rockets give up Kelvin Cato's 16.5 rebounds per 48 minutes unless we are getting a major upgrade in another area.

The Wiz are currently in negotations to sign Darrell Armstrong to the veterans Minimum. They are loading up on point guards like Memphis is on small forwards or New York is on power forwards.
I don't see why they would be opposed to adding a veteran from the area, popular with the fans, whose contract expires in two seasons. In exchange they clear up the glut @ the 1 and recieve the second most productive rebounder per minute last season.
They obviously are not enamered with any one guard or they wouldn't consistently be repeating the position.
